Winter is far far from over.
What we will see is a mild phase.
By no means a complete pattern change to milder weather going forward.
It's the 18th of January..
Noone can see clearly past 7 days( if that) in meteorology...
Still game on as far as I concerned
We had a cold snap in Dec, followed by a milder 12 to 14 days.
Rinse and repeat I'd say.

it's over lol it is going to be double-digit temperatures all next week and the trees will start to bud 2023 redux style
Some people just like to see a nice bit of snow falling , even if it's just short lived.
Doesn't have to be a full on dumping. People still like to look for even the slightest shower.

That's why I not looking forward to the end of cold.
Much rather this than endless wind and rain.
There's personal reasons for every weather type !

I am very much ready for the end of this cold snap. I love living in my rickety old cottage, but we are in a conservation area and stuck with single pane windows at the front to "uphold the character of the area". This is the first real cold snap since we moved here in 2022, and having icicles INSIDE the windows has been... interesting.
That said, the storm on Sunday/Monday looks like another strong'n, and we could without forking out for yet more fence panels!
That's why I not looking forward to the end of cold.
Much rather this than endless wind and rain.

Got showers of some sort approaching, probably rain by the sounds of things, will say what they are when they hit.
Someone in Kent said it was light snow..

Looks a possibility but they are doggedly adhering to the 12 mile limit currently
I was looking at the wind direction in that corner with interest earlier..
Few little blobs are making it in.

Have you tried this one? You can zoom right in and check temps etc. And you can see there are flurries as far north as Mottingham.
