  1. Fading away again now. Same time as yesterday evening. Booo! (especially for me as I'm selfish :D)
  2. First few rumbles of thunder here in Eastbourne after a real heavy shower
  3. Just want it to happen earlier rather than later, ive got to get up for work at 5.30 in the morning! Glued to the radar and windows here. have a perfect high up view of the sea south but no flashes yet (ooh err misses)
  4. Such a shame for us on the Coast. These stormy showers always beef up over land, leaving a swath of mainly clear air over the coast and nearby areas. I've been looking jealously North the last few weeks at the towering clouds forming. I need French formed ones on a decent plume in humid weather please!
  5. I think your probably right. There was one night where we had some quite ferocious Rain hitting with the storm. It was about 9.30-10ish in the night, just when I was going to bed. Typical! Quite a Juicy Cell just missing you right now I see.
  6. Yup! Lets hope its a good year for them, Eastbourne missed out on a few that skimmed Bexhill and Hasting last year if I remember rightly?
  7. So far they are just missing you and me on the coast, I'm still hearing a few distant rumbles.
  8. I can spend ages staring at the views from my place, you have a good one too. Sadly the Convective stuff is veering more to the East now. Il be looking forward to later on today and seeing if anything comes our way.
  9. Good morning buddy, Heres the view of the same cloud from Eastbourne towards Bexhill Nice bit of Mammatus for the morning., woken at 6ish to Hail and a distant rumble of Thunder.
  10. I'm loving this cold spell. Snow, Ice, whatever its my cup of tea as a weather enthusiast. I'm old enough to not let the 'let downs' bring me down as much as when i was a child in the 70's
  11. Your constant moaning over the years tends to not be very accurate either buddy. Try to chill out and be a bit of a happier person mate. I'm sure at the end of the day your excited for any cold snowy weather that may happen!
  12. Hi buddy well it has perked up a bit in intensity and now finaly started settling on the grass and cars. Its a start! the Temp has dropped to just below freezing too now, so that will be helping.
  13. Yeah been snowing since about 8.30 here. But sadly it hasnt settled yet. Even in the heavier bursts.
  14. Be happy mate! its been a great winter for interesting synoptics. your posts all seem a bit down. Personally I'm quite excited for the incoming cold period. I am sure you are too really
  15. Hmm, its just another reason for me to have to wake up early on Saturday or Sunday on my day off. I'm sure il be let down again, but it doesnt stop me waking up as always since i was a kid! Keep the faith mate!
  16. Lovely mate Now if only you were in the south east id be more excited Jealous Jason though!
  17. Ha! thats the best it got for us. Its almost passed us now. The last bit of hope for today is if it pivots like they say and comes back down, but i fear it maybe too far east of us and be fizzling away by then. Im just up the road from you in carew road, so a about 20m asl
  18. i use 2 online that are based in ratton and willingdon so not that far away from me really. just had a rain/sleet grauple shower and it brought the temp down to 3.6 from a high of 4.2 The louds are breaking up a bit too now. ooh dearly me!!
  19. Good morning mate! I woke up early and was happy to see a decent frost but that really is a quick rise in temps. it seems to of stopped rising for the last 15 mins now though. All i can hope is it drops in any precipitation. Weve been unlucky down here on the coast the last few years again. Nowt!!
  20. Aww, the temp in Eastbourne has risen from -1 to 4 in an hour. boooo!
  21. Aww great memories guys and girls! i also used to frequent snow watch and then here when it closed. I think i joined amongst the earliest ones? im sure i was member number under 100, but i could be wrong. Crazy snowman fan was brilliant. Ian Brown was... well Ian Brown.... I always wonder what happened to the member 'Coast' he was on the forum team and also from Eastbourne. he disapeared a while ago. Always love the site even when it kicks off with grumpy posts and arguments lol. But its a shame some of the real characters dont seem to be with us anymore.
  22. Well. Whatever all you grump-bag, downer people think (you know who I'm talking about) I still get excited when there is an opportunity for snow. Living right on the coast for my almost 50 years of life im used to being let down. But the snow lover and child in me still gets excited in the slight possibility of seeing at least a few flakes of snow. I am the guy that woke up last weekend at 3.30 a.m to see if i would get a glimpse of snow, but as usual i was disappointed. Many did get something though. Does it make me a grumpy, meh, never happens here, rubbish models kinda person though? Nope. Try to enjoy the ups and downs of the models and not be soo serious. Life is proper rubbish at the moment, lets not exacerbate it with anger that its not the winter wonderland that most of us would want every year. Love you! x
