Pretty easy to suggest that January won’t see anything noteworthy imo.. because the background drivers don’t support it.. Jan SSW unlikely.. and you’ve got other factors that just don’t support us being in a good position for Cold/snow - not saying we won’t see some snow through Jan, but doubt it’ll be very noteworthy.

Feb/March probably a better chance but that’s usually the case with UK winters.

@syed2878 please try to stop bickering

"f you read the post properly you will see that updated_weather did not say anything regarding January he only mentioned the GFS on Tuesday fantasy snow forecast which it was showing on it’s zero hours and six hours run this morning."

Clearly he did. I am really getting frustrated with the amount of childish arguing here. im sure we are all more grown up than this!

its putting me off reading in here recently

Two layers.. 1 point.. and reigns on Pacific water ticks, . And holding the jet- while mid level atmospheric layers respond in almost lag, so open like a bubble popping. There’s going to be no holding hands firm of strat/trop.. the forcing is to charged to allow !!.. this is why stark blocking is appearing.. and will continue.the Pacific wide.. is untuned for how we’re panned!

This winter looks to be quite mild but very wet at times. Cold and snow no where to be seen as the Icelandic lows continue the theme probably well into January and February. The pattern is set now.

Should be better for fuel bills however.

Damn. does this mean I need to give up on this winter already? What a shame. Amazing how weather patterns can be locked in so early. here's hoping winter 2022 is better than this one is then.

How do you even update your signature now? I can see how to update profile as a whole but not your sig?

Yup, I think the option to add or change it disappeared a few years ago. I can only find the edit profile area but nothing about Sigs

God we are proper old timers on here now mate!

  6. Grr, cant remember my SACRA number either. I'm sure I must be in the top 10 considering my substantial age and being one of the first Net Weather members. (sorry if that all sounds innuendo-ish! )

did you have a storm the other day?

Ours is going away but it was nice to hear some thunder!

Nah me darlin'. there was almost one that slowly made its way towards Eastbourne on Monday evening. It got as far as Hailsham then broke up. I got 30 seconds of drizzle while up the road got a half decent storm. I blame the Downs. Suntrap of the south? Meh
