    Woke up to a fairly good frost this morning. Currently the sun is shining but a chilly enough 2 degrees.

    Light layer of snow here which is a surprise as it was raining and the ground was wet when I looked out about half an hour ago!

    Been very windy here all day. Might only be my imagination but it sounds like it's getting louder! My daughter said that part of her school's roof was blown off today. Got soaked going to collect her and have been on top of the radiator ever since I got home to try and heat up lol.

    It was just starting to rain when I was walking back from the shop around 6:45pm. Pretty breezy with it! Currently 5 degrees with a dew point of 2 degrees.

    Just had another nice snow shower here and its lying again.

    The blob over Donegal....some of that please :). What did lie here is melting away but it wasn't a heavy shower and the ground was wet.

    Happy New Year everyone! Miserable enough day here, freezing hard last night though. Made for a brisk walk to the pub :D.

    Just rain here. I'm at the bottom of the glenshane pass which is closed and all I get is rain!!! Lol.

    It's frustrating watching the radar and seeing snow in Donegal turning sleet when it hits Derry and dying out before it gets to me

    Had a few more flurries and it's settling on the grass and cars. A little on the paths and roads. I think with something more substantial there's a good chance it'll lie. Baltic out, temperature is 2 degrees.

    Heard whisperings of snow so I have come back . Just been in the US and Canada for two weeks so missed all that rain as I only got back yesterday afternoon. Today has been miserable though! There's only sleet on the BBC website for me so far but hoping that may change. Keeping a close eye on the models anyway.

    Not just yet but I've just given in and ordered oil so it'll likely be on tomorrow. Last year it was 27th November before the heating went on.

    It's been a lovely few days! Nippy enough in the mornings though. A nice 16 degrees with clear blue skies .

    It's starting to feel a bit nippy in the evenings and in mornings now. Time for the heating to go back on I think. I enjoy the darker evenings but it needs a bit of wind and rain to go with it

    I only used it the once but I covered my 8 year old in it any day the sun even peaked through as it's strong in summer. Better safe than sorry.
