Someone on youtube yesterday claimed he was excited as he had never experienced a hurricane before. i politley said "and nor will you ever as you live in the uk" He went on to call me an idiot and because he got 80mph winds it was a cat 1 hurricane and the 87 storm was a cat 4 hurricane Someone getting their gusts mixed up with their sustained

just got higher winds in a squall half an hour ago than we got all day yesterday . Only lasted 5 minutes but was way more exciting

it was all over here , a few hours ago. Just a nice evening now. Blue sky , breezy .

Not sure what the speeds are , but its blowing bins over and a gust just almost took my neighbours fence down . Its not gonna survive lol. Its weird , i just went into town , 1 mile away , and its relatively calm there. i am in an exposed spot though

winds stronger than i thought they would be at this point . Just got aorund a 45MPH gust. Very lively out there.

First post I'm no weather expert , but have been fascinated by weather since i was 13 . I used to go to snowdonia a lot and experienced some ultra-extreme weather on many occasions , and now , i am hooked. Down for 52mph gusts here for tomorrow. Its already very windy now. Trees swaying and door annoyingly banging lol
