  7. GFS 6Z Run. Showing next week, settled start with warmer conditions, becoming breezier towards end of week with lower heights closeby. Should be pleasant for much of the week.

  11. A sunny dry day with warm sunshine and light winds. Wind was 5mph W, Top Temp- 18.8c.
  12. Yep the cm of snow was gone by the Thursday evening as milder air pushed in and heavy rain with it.
  13. That was a small feature which moved through into South Central England early on Wednesday 5th December, gave us a 1cm or so snow from 4:45-6am.
  14. Hi All. Just found a few pictures of recent snowfalls, taken from the same place overlooking my back garden. Thought i'd share 1= February 2nd 2009 2= January 6th 2010 3= December 18th 2010 4= February 5th 2012 5= December 5th 2012 6= January 18th 2013
  15. Have to say this chart from 6th January 2010 at Midnight really shows how deep the low over Southern England was with Home Counties really in firing line we had 25cm from Snow falling between Tuesday evening around 4pm and Wednesday at around midday.
  16. We had a low pressure move up from the SW on the 18th, us South Central folk did very well from this because upto that point the NOV/DEC spell of 2010 had not delivered fully, only a few dustings. (y)
  17. Evening all. Lovely day here with unbroken sunshine, temperature reached 18.8c. Wind from the West at 5mph. Summer back for a few days at least (y) Picture taken from South Park,Oxford overlooking dreaming spires of Oxford City.
  18. ECM RUN, shows it turning less settled towards mid next week before low pressure arrives for end of week and into next weekend.
  19. Get out and enjoy yourselves tomorrow if possible. Going to be a nice day, plenty of sunshine and temps into high teens!
  20. Unsettled beginning of October? But a Greeny High.? (Obviously right out in FI, but something to keep a watch for in future output)
  21. GFS FI, back to zonal? 0C uppers heading south again, just like ECM did earlier around same time lol
  22. I know its one model run and its the GFS, which some have doubts about but, it looks like just what a few alluded to yesterday that we would see low pressure signals for next weekend with trough over us, low pressure moving NW-SE again perhaps? I'll be watching A early tease, but there have been hints in some recent output CC
  23. Interestingly with this run, it still has reasonably mild uppers over the UK, but by end of week the 0c 850 is close to Scotland yet much of UK under 8c Uppers.
  24. 156HRS, we have a low pressure to the NW, looks like the high is moving away and low pressure about to make its return, thats Thursday onwards on this model run.
