  1. Been patchy as it reached here so far. Hopefully peps up slightly. currently a lull. chilterns taking some of the precip out of it.
  2. Thats the 12z! http://wxcharts.eu/?panel=large&model=arpege,arpege,arpege,arpege&region=eng&chart=overview,overview,wind10mkph,wind10mkph&run=12&step=102&plottype=10&lat=51.763&lon=-1.199&skewtstep=0
  3. I think this looks at the last few radar returns and as you go out into future it shows its projected path.. This doesn't take into consideration change of wind conditions, just what has happened previously if you get my drift?
  4. Sunshine with snow flurries now! Nice last 2 hrs in Headington. Few cms in places.
  5. Heavy again. Biggest flakes for about 30 secs like 50p pieces. Back to moderate again now. Can see Cumulonimbus to the North.
  6. Oxfordshire too? Just a few miles away should have a report for you folks soon!
  7. I got laughed in SW thread yesterday when i mentioned the Murr Scale. Good to see others using the famous snow measuring scale!
  8. Intrigued by what is happening much east of here for you guys and girls! Up watching Nz vs England in ODI cricket so keep checking radar and your reports
  9. In terms of yesterdays shower alignment from the Easterly it was the closest model. I believe it is held in regard as a short term tool, so it will be tested next few days.. Incidentally, Gem showed similar but was quashed by myself included as progressive and precip signal in a low resolution for our part of the world. Be interested to know more senior views on Hirlam? Euro 4 precip signal is very poor, even Fergieweather said it is too progressive with showers/etc sometimes. Even showed an area of precip across central london at 6hrs notice when nothing in that area so pinch of salt with the Euro 4 from my own experience, its a shame as we look to that one as not much else for the UK at such a short range, UKV is under lock and key from Met office and paid weather companies...
