danm I’d just call it London if it has a tube station .
Was impressed with Upminster, was there for my kid’s athletics meeting so had a run around the place. Lots of big houses etc.

JakeWorces Sorry a bit late replying, but I hear your annoyance and despair with the weather (I’m a runner too).
if you can, just raise a middle finger to the weather, mutter a loud ‘F**k You’ to it and crack on regardless.
Im done with wasting any more energy on this country’s weather

Last night was ridiculous. My wife, son and the other kids training at Bedford track had to come in due to a thunderstorm. I had to hide under the ring road in Luton as the squall line came through.
Wish I’d recorded it. Like a watered down version of folk hiding from a passing tornado in the states LOL.

matt111 Yes. Best kept in X or whatever it’s called.
The weather is depressing enough without politics creeping in LOL.

In Absence of True Seasons I quite liked I think it was May 2022 when it was dry but moderate easterly winds for what seemed like a few weeks.
Bit annoying being outside though, as you had to keep taking jumpers & jackets off and on, depending on sunshine & shelter.
Would take it over this utter crap at a heartbeat!

PermaCloudFU time to cloud seed. There’s no room for any more rain.

Few days in Toruń, Poland.
As expected, sunny periods, about 15 degrees and not bloody windy.
Nice to be 1,000 miles away from the sodding Atlantic Ocean and its muck.

Yep. Literally 2 mins of bright weather. No actual sun. Now getting darker.
is there anywhere in the world with a worse climate than here? Talking inhabited to a healthy degree. NW Canada? Like north of Vancouver?
This is the pits.

*Stormforce~beka* As a runner it was great, but obviously perfect weather for events that were cancelled.
Funny remembering people scattering from me running down the road thinking I’d give them Covid from 10 metres away in the fresh air

In Absence of True Seasons Almost like the weather here is spiteful.
Not that we didn’t know that already.- 2

Obviously we won’t get the Covid spring of 2020 again. That was amazing.

I don’t care about the stats.
This is the most depressing winter I can ever remember. I think 94/95 was really wet too, cycling and getting very wet on my bike nearly three days a week.
Go to Australia for 4 weeks in July/August to get a feel on how cloudy it is here. It’s astounding.
Only made worse by weather forecasters just focusing on temperatures, not the actual weather.

Wet sleet for 10 mins! Claiming that as our winter

Addicks Fan 1981 Never saw the Ousel as high as last week by Morrisons. Just off for a run now, timed impeccably again I think
Never ending rain.

Literally looking down the top edge of the storm system from my window. Just about avoided it.
Storms love that path from Berks/Hants through NW London/Herts. Must be a clever reason for it.....

Down visiting the folks in Poole and absolutely hammering it down! Trying to get to sleep No thunder though.

This is the pits. Utterly dreadful weather.
over the weekend, there were those blessed periods when the wind dropped and you could really feel the warmth of the sun.
Shame they only lasted about 5 seconds.
