  1. The low is now enclosed by a complete isobar according to this: http://meteocentre.com/analyses/map.php?lang=en&map=eur_full&area=eur&size=large as indicated by the UK Fax earlier too
  2. It was forecast to decrease prior to the developing system moving in - most likely to see winds increasing again in the next few hours as it approaches.
  3. The storm isnt forecast to develop much until this evening, and then develop rapidly. It's a tough one to call. Still possible that winds of 60 to 70 mph will affect much of the south - whilst these winds may not seem too severe, combine them with wet ground and trees in leave. Also, with leaves blowing off trees its likely to block drains and lead to enhanced flooding, more-so than may normally be expected.
  4. No snow here yet this winter but am thinking we could see some significant snowfall by months end. General consensus seems to be the winter will be colder than average and my gut instinct tells me some very disruptive snowfalls are likely across many areas at some point during the winter.

  9. Lewis, is there a problem with the website?
  10. Recon currently investigating this system. Latest reports suggest sustained winds of at least 40 mph and a minimum central pressure of 1010mb. If the circulation is closed NHC may upgrade to a TS this evening.
