Well the NW area around Liverpool does well in this E/SE set up due to a fohn effect as the winds come over the tops of the hills and warm up further on the leeward side. Could just be a peculiarity why it’s warmer, not too sure where the station is situated there. If it’s urban that could add a bit on. Trawsgoed is often the warmest in NW Wales though, and that’s a rural spot.
Trawscoed is more mid Wales - places like the north Wales coast, Caernarfon, Porthmadog does well with the fohn effect.

From what felt like summer yesterday to snow this morning here in north western Wales. Nothing too heavy at the moment but an interesting day or two to come here. We had heavy rain around 1am from that narrow band and since then it has slowly turned colder. I'm around 215m above sea level.

rain turned to wet snow then to snow now here in Caeathro in the heavier shower moving in now on the radar.
Newyddion da - great news! Local weather stations like the one in Llanrug is reporting 0C so I guess it's snowing down there too!

Where are you situated Liam? Also icy here now with temp down to - 1.3 and clear sky's but no wind at all. Looking promising though.
I'm in a village called Deiniolen (which is around 200m asl) northern side of Snowdonia - not far from Llanberis.

Just taken the dog for a walk, still a little bit of snow on the cars since this morning. I can see the precipitation from Ireland just reaching Holyhead now, hopefully we are high enough for it to fall as snow. A other 40 mins or so before it reaches us here.
Croesi bysadd! Fingers crossed - I can actually see some thicker clouds towards that way now. Winds picking up here too.

After a day of heavy wintry showers with snowline around 450m - who knows if it'll snow here in north west Wales tonight. Temperature is currently hovering around 1C even with clouds so hopefully it's cold enough!

Not particularly windy or wet in the Ceiriog Valley. Anything seems to be passing around us. Hopefully it stays that way except for snow, obvs......
It was odd because the radar had rain over us but we've had nothing until the last hour! Really rough here now - heavy rain, sounds a bit like hail on the window and extremely windy.

It's taken a while for Bella to really get going here in north west Wales in terms of rainfall but the rain is torrential rain now. It's been windy here all day but currently gusting around 65-70mph. Temperature rose to 7.7C before the rain, now it seems to have fallen back to 7C. Hopefully we'll see some snow here over the next few days - I'm around 210m above sea level.
