  1. I finally got to sit out in the garden at 4 pm and within minutes the cold front came rolling in with dark clouds and reduced temperature. I’ve got my jumper on again but at least I’ve got the lawn mown. 😇

  2. Minimal sun here today. We had a brief  sojourn into the warmth yesterday while I was out shopping in town but as soon as I got home the heavy clouds came back along with the winds, and the temperature dropped down to the point I had my fire on again. Windy but not horrific here today, but drizzle coming through again.

  3. I’m just returned home from Languedoc where it was about 31 most days on the beach - which I’m fine with. But it rained one day!

I seem to have brought a brief plume of sorts back with me. Not looking great for BH - but I remember two years where the ONLY hot weather occured on the August late BH weekend. One was 2013 I think but I might be wrong….

  4. A pleasant cooler summer day here. Plenty of sun. Lawn mown and people out in their gardens.

    Amazing!

More to the point, given they're often glued to their mobile phones, how the flock do they know where they are going?! 😱

Well, actually they don’t as I can attest to someone walking straight into me yesterday while I was shopping.

  5. Considering the forecast today is quite pleasant around these parts - maybe I’m more optimistic as my lurghi is clearing up - plus the worst of tomorrow’s storm pushes through overnight. But very sorry for campers who will get the brunt of Antoni, and for east midlanders with the low temperatures expected.

  6. Utterly ghastly day here - mild and breezy with periods of rain and consistent dark low cloud. It’s 6.45 and I have lights on. Combined with my head cold this truly feels like late October.
I’m holding out for what seem to be consistent forecasts for something better just as my holidays begin- fingers crossed…….

  7. Reading all the above makes me feel lucky to be in my area where we had a good day yesterday, and three decent sunny days in a row a week ago, even if they were breezy and below average temperatures.
Ghastly here today and my cold has gone into full bloom so I’m hankering down.

  8. For me, I need a degree of energy throughout the day to maintain comfort wearing one layer or no layers. A couple of days ago the temperature hadn’t changed by about 7 pm but my body felt cold, and I had to put on a couple of layers to feel comfortable. Low humidity also adds to a sense of being cold. This morning I’m quite happy to be wearing next to nothing I. 17C but I doubt I can keep that up the whole day.

    it’s raining here BTY
