most awsome storm just left us now heading North from Coventry, try as I did, no pictures have come out of it. Lasted for 40 minutes.

Taken at 1.45 PM, main runway, Coventry airport. Went very dark then this stuff came down. The lights are the start/end of the runway it's self. Not a nice view for the pilot of the incoming 737 200. Can you spot the plane?

Well it looks like a nice day out there but I'm still going to take the umbrella. It feels like October in Coventry. :cry:

Coventry, storm overhead at 15.30Hrs, was trying to grab a cat nap and it woke me up. Plenty of electrical action.

Awsome stuff down in Coventry, Storm started at 1600Hrs and just finished at 1655Hrs, hell of a lot of rain and localised flooding, lots of electrical activity.

1st storm and thunder at 13.36 Hrs, again at 14.20 Hrs, and at 16.40 and now at 17.05 Hrs, lots of electrical activity and thunder. Tried to get some shots off the digi video camera but it needs setting up by the manual for that I think, no luck yet in capturing some amazing lightning. Localised flooding in Coventry due to amount of rain in short time, some roads impassable in city centre and east Coventry.

Coventry south/west central, overnight low of 15.5 deg, now at 23 deg, cooler breeze from NW, sunny with high cirrus

08.08 Hrs Coventry S/W central, some cirrus to the west, very clear, overnight low 14deg, now 21deg. No wind at all at house level. Have a real nice day weather watchers.

thermo showing 33 deg in the shade of my garden now dropping, clouds building and wind picking up from the south west. What a change from this morning, expecting the storm very soon now. 15.45 Hrs

Coventry south/west central, 5th August, 07.52 Hrs, wind ENE, overnight low was 15.5 deg, now overcast with sun trying to get through. This will be a hot one today Have a nice day.
