The drier spot right in the south of wales (Swansea) is doing my head in !!!

We all getting the same snow at this moment , just waiting for that BIG yellow blob to hit us.:yahoo:

It wont hit where I am, and thats still out to the channel. If you watch the radar you will see thats headed for Bristol and its dieing down quickly as it moves over cornwall and devon its all to far east

Monopoly. Nope wales still gets it. Dont worry about that.

Hirlam Arpege etc still see south central wales and south east wales get 10-20cm

I am to the east of swansea , meteox which I think uses ECM has a snow , rain , snow , rain event on friday night and saturday morning? models are really struggling so perhaps the boundry line is a very fine one between the bristol channel and mid wales

Oh dear how are the BBC going to explain away that big blob of snow crossing the whole country for Friday which they were showing yesterday? I know the answer will be they don't have too, forecasts change etc but I thought at the time that ain't going to happen...like the news now it's over dramatised.

Yeah its moved quiet a long way west! its now out to the irish sea. How will that effect the cold patterns moving forwards if that other area of low preassure follows the same path

I’m guessing this is off the 18z gfs run as was the rust forecast?

My assumption is it won’t be like this - it seems suspect to drag the warm uppers up and ‘blow away’ the cold so quickly...

It shows the low go across france then approach from the south east and basically sit on top of the midlands for 2 days. I think that is the path the GFS is taking it so yes I would agree with your assumption
