Big powerful rolling gusts… can hear the house creaking… pressure drop… before the next gust… wild out.. worse than Sunday here…

@Had Worse just wish we didn’t have any more damage been expensive 2023 (2024 so far)… still have to wait for April/may to fix a few things at properties as they can’t be sorted until drier weather… luckily have great tenants and they do appreciate all we do

Quite noisy out wind wise… lots of rain today… very dark and dull… but yes very mild out… said on northwest tonight 15.8c in Cheshire today breaks record from 2018 (I think she said??) rental house in Mossley lost some tiles Sunday night… hope tonight doesn’t make it any worse as needs to be fixed tomorrow, with break in the weather…

Wet out… just went for smoke whilst roast chicken resting…. Can’t hear anything outside…. Not like huge gusts when we had with snow in 2018…. Roared around the house… but that was from the east…

Breezy wet nothing out of ordinary here from normal winter storm… hoping no more damage to our rental houses as two chimneys down in 18 months very mild 11-12c all day… can’t hear anything outside in our house… sealed shut… almost sound proof

3c today bit of a thaw but 6c in Ashton earlier… making lamb meatballs and bolognaise sauce, late lunch/early tea… 4/10 for snow 6/10 for cold 0/10 for next wet and windy period fire lit stocked up freezer and cupboards for weekend hibernation… have insurance pay out for chimney and roof damage in stalybridge now… tenants decorating house before they move in properly in February after they get married…

Nor here either…. -4c some clouds about but mainly clear skies… rubbish on tv so halfway through watching our favourite film Fargo… so funny and well written and acted think we’ve watched it 40 times in 25 years…

Can’t see much happening here, especially as apps now say snow showers edit my app has now deleted said snow shower temp was -4c rose to -3c but dropped back again now… some cloud about but mostly clear… edit -5c now met office saying 80% chance of heavy snow shower at 10pm

Yes they were very obvious and large to be seen this far away… clear cold air I guess…. may get something this evening but don’t think we will… willing to be suprised Had the same when sorting a few bits in garden this afternoon… noticed iced the roof of the car with raised frost reaching upwards… very pretty

-2.7c could see the tops of the clouds in the distance over wales as the sun was setting in the direction of monks road from Glossop… just put the bin out… still have 2-3 inches of unmelted snow on the island… still have 1/2 to 3/4 covering around the house… frozen solid

Currently-8c dew -10c got to -8.9c at 3am… pretty wintry scene out still… seen posts on local social media of cars saying -10c/-11c… it’s a cold one
