  1. Weather Display and Cumulus have their own sets of templates. So, as soon as you have hosting, you can initiate the software to upload those web templates, and then you and everybody else can view them. This is the standard web template that Cumulus offers: http://home2.btconnect.com/peterrandle/Weather/index.htm
  2. Just to add insult to injury.. Ignore it though, as it won't be correct. or will it?
  3. Just buy a cheap notebook or laptop and keep it running permanently. It doesn't use a lot of power. Or get an rPi. I keep my gaming pc on all the time as it runs Cumulus. If you want near-realtime data (like mine) you'll need to purchase some web hosting.
  4. That is a very haunting image. The odds of us being snow-less just from looking at it, are pretty astronomical.
  5. .. apart from here .. Two days of 5 - 6°C before returning to double figures on Saturday.
  6. That all depends on where you live i'm afraid. I see nothing in the short to medium term for where I live, that excites me. Anything coming from the NW/N is really just an insult for this geographical position. It doesn't matter how cold the uppers are, it's just watered down at the surface. I remember checking the current uppers last weekend, and it was showing -7 to -8, and I didn't even manage a frost. It needs to be slack pressure with cold uppers to create some nice sub-zero temperatures, or an Easterly, nothing else will cause any excitement.
  7. I don't know about anyone else's forecast for their region, but here it is showing just two cold days. How epic is that??
  8. I'm seem to remember @Nick L saying that he couldn't understand why they were showing all of that snow, as the EC precip model he has access to, showed nothing like those amounts.
  9. It was looking like that from the beginning lol That aside, it looks like another terrible week of weather. The forecast has completely changed in the space of 12 hours. I caught a weather bulletin while I was in bed last night..today was meant to be glorious, and clear tonight. It was overcast all day, and it still is now. Apart from Friday, it's meant to be gloomy all week. I keep reading on here how it has been such a good end to Autumn and start to Winter in terms of cold. I'm guessing none of these people record their own weather data, because it was far colder at the end of Autumn and beginning of Winter last year. I'd also had 7 air frosts up until this point last year. This year it has been 1.
  10. If that chart were to verify exactly like that, it would bring rain to Southern counties, snow for parts of Wales and the North-Midland's. On that basis, I do not like it one iota!
  11. Not only are they being cheeky, they have failed appallingly in today's forecast. Blue skies they said, but not a glimpse of the sun - overcast all day!
  12. Hoping for some proper low temperatures. If snow isn't on the menu, I do like extremes in my weather station records. Averaging -8 to -9 °C on the 850 ens.
  13. November's average temperatures started off quite high but soon started to average out, especially at the end of the month. I had several ground frosts, but the temperature didn't get below zero until the very last day - saving a streak of the last 7 November's with a below zero temperature. Rainfall was well below the derived MetO average, and sunshine was above average. 14. I hope Ian can post in here at some point. Despite his withdrawal from the mod thread, i'm sure he mentioned that he would provide the odd insight for the West country folk.
  15. Paul Pogba just rang.. he said re snow for the South, you can try and have a poop in one hand and a wish in the other and see which one gets filled first?!
  16. 2010 didn't heal and wounds here, it made things worse, as it was a snow to rain event for moi. I had more snow on January 18th 2013 than in December 2010 - by a long way!
  17. I can't take these seriously.. The steep drop off in the 850's is exacerbated by the approaching low - drawing warmer air up ahead of it. I guarantee they'll be another toy's r us moment in the mod thread in the coming few days.
  18. That was nothing compared to the red warning that Dorset was on in 09, only for it to be removed during the night. We were still under an Amber warning, and we barely got a dusting of snow here. That will go down in the history books as one of the biggest weather fails of all time!
  19. I can't be bothered to post it in the model thread, so i'll put it here instead.. That crazy LP the GFS is modelling is an interesting scenario - for a couple of reasons. Firstly (being a storm fan) I tend to want these to occur, but as you get nearer the time, the GFS will slow the rate of cyclogenesis down, and even move it further South, which means we tend to miss out on the fun. Now, if it did decide to do that, it would be more favourable for snow further South. With that in mind, what's the betting that the GFS decides to take a different route altogether - ie No interesting weather at all?!
  20. A slight ground frost this morning. Everything is hard though... I mean the ground etc A low of 1.3°C it pretty much hovered at 1.6 to 1.7°C for most of the night. Currently 2.6°C and sunny.
