Sky looks beautiful tonight. Blue, purple and pink swirls. Sadly my camera is on charge, so I can't get a picture, but take a look outside.

It's difficult to explain to people. I don't storm chase, but extreme weather makes me feel alive. I find thunderstorms so utterly relaxing and exciting at the same time. It awakens something within me. It is difficult to put into words and I think is something only other extreme weather lovers can relate to.

Once again I take up membership. My eternal hope for a storm is like a puppy desperately hoping for another tummy rub.

See looking outside you'd be easily forgiven for thinking it was about to chuck it down or storm with all the scud cloud and dark skies, but we're getting nowt according to the forecast.
-
I think the SE used to be very storm prone. I remember regular MCS during the summer months. But now I think the Midlands and Lincolnshire way get far more. I went to uni in the midlands and there were far more storms than back home.
Here's hoping the SE gets its crown back.

All gone a bit stormy looking here.

Jetlagged. So very jetlagged. Can report weather in NYC was perfect, high teens all week. I hear I missed some good storms here in Medway? Or was my Mum just winding me up?

Well I'm currently packing for NYC where I see the weather is going to be much the same as here but a bit warmer. As long as it doesn't rain a lot or be really windy and I don't end up looking like this, I'll be happy.

Some bumblebees looking dazed this morning. I hope it warms up again soon so the fruit and flower yields prevail.
As for the storms, I shall be eternally pessimistic this year so I can't be disappointed.

Off for a long weekend in Devon which is looking to be colder than I had hoped

Out of interest, what site do people feel is good for long range forecasts (say 2-3 weeks ahead) for the US?

What a lovely day, although perhaps a little chillier than it looks. Spent the early afternoon taking the new motor out for a spin and through her paces.

It feels like recently has been the start of storm season. Hopefully not so much of a letdown this year

Surprise rumbles and hail today which is always nice. The one thing you can't deny about April is it's full of surprises!

Nice hail shower with reasonably sized hail just passed through.

Hi Lauren, now you mention it, it does a bit but I can assure you it is definitely metallic and odorless. Unfortunately the route I take, you do have to mind your step, annoys me, that people don't pick up after their dogs.
Hopefully warmer again by the weekend as the winds turn more westerly
See I wasn't thinking it looked like poo at all
Despite the warmer weather the night definitely still has a bite to it. You know, I'm not totally convinced we've seen the last of wintry weather.

Sunshine has gone after a very pleasant start, bit of a nagging NNEasterly breeze now and view over towards Essex not as clear as yesterday but temp. still up to a very respectable 15c - hope that wasn't summer
Picked up a 1909 halfpenny and a bit of a horseshoe walking the dogs across the farmers field this morning, don't think the horseshoe will bring me much luck in this condition though!
Erm, it not just me that thinks that looks like something else is it?
First time today of this year I felt to hot in the car and had the cooler on. So looking forward to BBQ season and being warm late into the evening.

Well what a lovely day. Shame I have spent most of it indoors with food poisoning
I forced myself to go out in sun a little earlier and did a bit of weeding and now I feel a lot better so I'm going to attempt to eat dinner later.
On the plus side just bought our new motor!
Wait, what. Who has left, why? PM please to stop it being spread on here, this makes me sad.

Just been outside to find a confused bumble bee bumbling about in the garden. Bless it.

Funnily enough we're considering getting an A3 or new Mazda 3.

I see the Daily Mail is talking of inches of snow chaos tomorrow.
Which of course can be translated to rain and a bit of snizzle if we're lucky.

They sky looked amazing just a few minutes ago, a very stormy shade of yellowy grey which my camera couldn't capture properly.
In other news. Good news! Just got off the phone to the weather Gods and they've agreed that due to the disappointing lack of snow this winter, that we shall be rewarded with an abundance of good old fashioned MCS this summer. I do hope they keep their end of the deal.

We have that too. Very strange. Dead still one minute then strong gusts for about 30 seconds, then dead still again.
