Stopped snowing here. Not sure if that's it now or more to come. Most snow I've seen for a few years!

Really surprised at the snowfall here so far. Easily a couple of inches and still going!

Medium sized flakes starting to lay here in Walderslade
-
I imagine Bluebell Hill will do it's usual job of keeping any snow away from Medway.

I have just taken to now casting with any snow. Can't be disappointed that way! Would be nice to see some before Christmas!

The plummeting temperatures are really making themselves felt now. Normally I'm warm enough in my house with a thick jumper and a blanket and just haithe heating on sporadically but today heating is on too and it's still freezing.

It's been raining solidly for about 48 hours now with it being heavy since about 6pm. Roads will be fun this morning!
-
Still haven't felt the need yet, which is unusual. Normally would have had it on quite often by now.
-
Says feels like temperature is 11C. Feels much much colder than that!

Been chucking it down all night and still going. A lot of flooding locally. It's going to be a nightmare when rush hour kicks in.

Some unexpected T&L here, just a few mins, but I'll take it.

I've noticed this past week or so, especially today, I've been getting external condensation on the windows. As have the neighbours. I don't remember this usually happening!
Same!
Got much windier than I expected last night. Horrible weather to be out in but quite lovely if you're tucked up warm in bed.

How did Medway fare last night? I'm in Wiltshire and we had torrential rain and rumbles.
-
We've got to drive down to the West Country today. Bit scared in this weather.

Got woken up by some loud rumbles and the rain has kicked in. Here we go.

Bit of a rumble just now. You'd be forgiven for thinking it was a couple of hours earlier than it is with how dark it is outside.

Haven't felt like we've needed it but we did a 15 minute test run to check everything was working and it cost 1p a minute! So it's not going on unless absolutely necessary. There will be 4 stages before it is considered:
1. Put jumper on
2. Add on a blanket.
3. Add a hot water bottle.
4. Add a hot drink.
If still unbearably cold then it will be considered.

Going away for a couple of days for my birthday this weekend and of course it's forecast to chuck it down the entire time

Horrific scenes. I dread to think what we'll wake up to.
Being a storm enthusiast is such a conundrum. Getting a kick out of extreme weather and the sheer force or nature but at the same time knowing the devastation it causes.

are there any webcams we can see the current status in Cuba
They still haven't got mainstream internet yet so I doubt there will be any webcams.

I feel like the Beeb and MetO have not forecasted this recent rain well at all but I suppose it's rain that's popping up quite spontaneously so....

That looks pretty devastating for Havana. A lot of buildings over there are barely standing and Cuba in general is not well equipped for hurricanes. We visited a year after Irma and in many parts it was like it hit yesterday as all the repairs had gone to the tourist areas. It's such a wonderful country but they can't cope with strong hurricanes at all.

This is really quite the event. Hope they are as prepared as they can be.

Just been out to measure and we have just under 3 inches. Very lightly snowing but seems like it's running out of steam.
