  1. Found this on my Youtube. Still a classic every summer. Lots of old names no longer here? I wonder if Jane Louise really is out of the NSC by this year?

Lauren, as a military vet myself, I would like to pay my respect to your OH's grandfather....from an annonymous quote..."History has taught us over and over again that freedom is not free. When push comes to shove, the ultimate protectors of freedom and liberty are the brave men and women in our armed forces. Throughout our history, they've answered the call in bravery and sacrifice."

I'm sure Magpies would be well informed at the nearest abattoir Steve? If only they were more able to understand. Humanity eh?

    3. Steve C

      Steve C

Like I said Fazer, humanity is the worst, unfortunately (if you think about it, 'humane' is just about the most ridiculous word in our language) I try to do my bit, but it's a waste of time.

  6. I find the heat in August and September much more bearable even if the temperature is the same compared to June. Is there a reason for this?

    1. karyo

      karyo

Also longer nights as the summer progresses

    2. CatchMyDrift

      CatchMyDrift

By August/Sept you might be more conditioned to the heat? Or either of the above. Or none lol

Obviously commuters and people who have to work outside are excused. I mean more people who have AC in their offices and aren't doing anything too exhausting.

That's fine Lauren. I have twins, boy and girl. Boy has autism our girl hasn't. Both same environment, upbringing and even down to same food and drink. Identical lifestyles so I'm not sure how nurture would fit to our situation and our twins lives.

    3. Lauren

      Lauren

Nurture doesn't just mean the way someone is raised it also includes environment, illness, disease etc, basically anything non-genetic.

  13. Does anyone know the best way to get a wine to the UK that yo can only buy in another country other than a booze cruise?

    1. Spikecollie

      Spikecollie

Phone or email the producer and ask if they will send you some. It'll cost a bit in postage, but might be worth it. Most big chateaux have dégustation and they sell the wine - there's probably no reason why they can't send it to you.

    2. Lauren

      Lauren

I'll give that try when our current bottles run out.
