Just had a hell of a lot of rain last ngith, no strong winds or hail or thunder and lightening to report.
I imagine that's most displays tonight cancelled then!
I see Carribean Princess of Princess Cruises is currently in port at Boston, from it's webcam the weather looks pretty bad. I guess they'll be riding it out in port.

I hope everyone stays as safe as possible.
I feel awful for finding the whole thing quite exciting (the storm, not the damage). Just wish these things could happen without loss to life and property.
Evening all. Looking forward to the 'weird weather' if it actually happens. Some red rain would be quite a cool birthday present.
Must say I do love driving throught the valleys with the fog, it's quire eerie.
The dip in the road was completely flooded on the drive home. I always get a bit too excited when I get to drive through it like a log flume hitting the water
Evening all.
Well OH was not a happy boy as he had to wait for the coach yesterday morning in the torrential rain. He only waited for 30 seconds but was apparently soaked through all day despite the coat and umbrella.
You can certainly feel the winter bearing down on us quickly now.
My parents always regail me with the story of the storm. My Dad frantically trying to make it back home with my brother and sister before the storm hit. My parents and my sister all snuggled in their bedroom listening and watching it as they couldn't sleep. My brother slep through the whole thing. We lost roof tiles and a huge tree that fell over 3 gardens.
Next morning all the men came out to clear up and repair and the women were making tea and lunches as fast as they could. Very typically Britain pulling together in a crisis type behaviour.
I was not born at this time.
Had a few bursts of torrential rain in between sunny periods. Considering a lot of the clouds were big bad CB's I was dissappointed that we didn't get any thunder & lightening.
