  1. Some people need to calm down. You know weather is unpredictable. That's partly why we love it. Forecasters try their best to predict weather. It's what they do for a living. They are not there to trick or frustrate you. I am sure they feel just as surprised when the weather does exactly the opposite of what they expect. I for one am grateful of the time they dedicate to this site. They are human like the rest of us and are bound to get it wrong sometimes, but for the most part they do a great job.
  2. Bitterly cold here at the moment. The sort of cold when you snow snow is hanging around up there ^^^ waiyting to fall in the next few days.
  3. That is perfect. Now when it comes to summer substitute snow for storms and you have a perfect storm watching script!
  4. Come on heavy snow Monday night, got a stupidly busy day at work on Tuesday and it would be oh so terrible, if I had to stay at home and play in the snow.
  5. But, but, but I don't want a dusting. I want many inches so I can play in it all day
  6. Blimey, this thread has grown! Would someone please be kind enough to give me an update of what North West Kent can expect. I see the Daily Express is doing Yamkin style rampings!
  7. I have no idea, but if conflict and confusion from the last couple of days in the model thread powered snow, we'd be buried 7 feet deep by now!
  8. Gah! That dives me mad. I normally end up shouting at my wipers. I'm not normal, am I?
  9. Was it quite humid (for winter that is!) for anybody else this morning or was I imagining things?
  10. Not weather a such but a new series of Nature's Greatest Events starts tonight at 8pm on BBC2. I know a lot of people enjoyed the first series, so apologies if this is in the wrong place.
  11. Well it's a bit breezy this morning. I really do hope 2013 is an awesome year for weather. My dream scenario would be a snowy January with a few days off work for playing. A long hot summer for BBQ's and enjoying the beautiful countryside, interspersed with several huge old MCS of the old days and then a lovely autumn with warm days and chilly nights for snuggling on the sofa.
  12. 10.5C at 23.12 on the 23rd December. Insane. According to some family in the Med we're a good 2C warmer.
  13. Well it chucked it down on the way home. I was leaving a good gap between me and the car in front and idiot drivers kept jumping in it and then slamming their brakes on so that I nearly went into the back of them about 4 times on the way home Only just noticed the xmassy themed logo!
  14. Just as long as the snow comes heavily in christmas week, I will be a happy girl.
  15. Heavy snow all the way through Xmas week would be wonderful for 2 reasons: It makes it extra festive. I have the week off work so I can actually enjoy it.
  16. -6 this morning when I was de-icing the car. Beautiful countryside on the way to work. One of those mornings that makes you proud of the beautiful scenery we have in this country.
  17. Only -2 here, but feels about -7. The air outside is so icy it's painful.
  18. The fog is really coming down now! Very cold and the roads are slippy too.
  19. I will be keeping my cynical hate on as usual. I fell victim to much ramping last year. I will be more optimistic 48 hours out maybe.
  20. Yep, wasn't it one of those bad boys that made the epic snowfall at the beginning and end of 2010?
  21. Am I the only one who has absolutely no idea what's going on in the model thread? Weather Models for Dummies for Xmas please!
  22. The drive to work will be picturesque. Lots of countryside and oldy worldy villages, which look just beautiful in the snow. Now if only it could chuck it doen with snow in xmas week that would be amazing.
  23. How much is likely to settle because I HAVE to go to work today? Can snow all it likes when I get back!
