  2. I never get spots, but I have the biggest one coming on my nose. It's making my face hurt!

  3. Lovely couple of days this has been. More how September should be, I think.
  4. Ewwwww, no! No milk in herbal or fruit teas!
  5. Tea is my favourite. I absolutely have to have one first thing in the morning. White, no sugar. Coffee I have white with one sugar. I also love green tea and lemon and ginger. Caffeine seems to have zero effect on me so I drink tea and coffee for the taste only.
  6. I love this guys work. His air to air stuff is particularly impressive. http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?aircraftsearch=&airlinesearch=&placesearch=&countrysearch=&adv_remark=&photographersearch=sam+chui&emailsearch=&regsearch=&cnsearch=&codesearch=&datesearch=&id=&yearsearch=&specialsearch=air_to_air&specialsearch2=&sort_order=photo_id+desc&page_limit=15&thumbnails=&advanced_search=true&engine_version=6.0
  7. I agree. Personally when I start to think the seasons are starting are as such: Spring - when the dafodill come out and you can go outside without layers on. Usually March - Beginning of June ish. Summer - when the evenings stay light past 8pm and the sun feels hot on your skin. Usually beginning of June onwards until mid September. Autumn - When the nights have a chill to them every night and the nights get dark around 8pm. Usually mid September until end of November. Winter - the layers go back on, the heating goes on and you go to work and come home in the dark. Usually Beginning of December until end of February. By my personal judgement, solar reckoning fits in with that. I'd say based on usual, anticipated weather, that solar is most accurate.
  8. Seems like it was going to rain all day, but hasn't. Very pleasant temps out though.
  9. My passport has arrived! Is it the law that you must look like a serial killer in your photo?

    Banter - R.I.P

Considering my lack of penis, I'm not sure man flu is possible. I am in no way a wimp and tend to soldier on whatever, but can barely muster strength to walk upstairs!

  16. No, not at all! No offence taken. It's a well known psychological phenomenon. Basically if someone tells themselves (or others) something happened enough times or with enough conviction, what can happen is that that person can genuinely end up believing it happened, or at least have such an emotional response that it seems as if that person really did experience what they said. Ever heard someone say something along the lines of 'they told the same lie so often, I think they ended up believing it really happened'? I guess 'self-brainwashing' is almost what it is, but not necessarily with the intent to do so.
  17. Anyweather, I think I know the one you refer to. But then again there have been loads of paranormal events with very convincing witnesses and such that have turned out to be hoaxes, so little surprises me these days. I think there's a lot to be said for false memories as well which is basically where people can convince themselves something has happened, maybe through telling a story so many times, that they become highly emotional when talking about it, because it actually becomes a real memory for them.
  18. I would like it to be a short, sharp winter. Lots of snow and some really bitter days that make you want to go home and snuggle in front of the fire. Just hope we don't get weeks upon weeks of grey, cold nothingness. having said that, I'm not done with summer yet.
  19. Well if you posted the pictures it may be more helpful. I've given you a likely explanation in the other thread.
  20. Pareidolia - the phenomenon of finding patterns in things, most typically faces. http://www.epmchannel.com/2012/08/28/pareidolia-a-bizarre-bug-of-the-human-mind-emerges-in-computers/ Lassie, the Enfield Poltergeist has long been considered to be a hoax by the family, many of the investigators of the case have said they were highly skeptical at the time. Many of the images, such as the famous one of the daughter 'being thrown' off the bed, clearly are her just jumping in the air.
  21. Well we decided to cancel an event today based on the forecast being heavy rain all day and well.......still dry as a bone. Hopefully we get rain later so I don't look completely stupid!
  22. OK, so theoretically if the strike lasted long enough, they would turn to ash?
  23. .....is hotter than the surface of the sun, why don't people disintegrate when hit by it?
  24. Just had a very brief torrential and windy downpour. Had literally just stepped inside when it started.
