  4. Latest charts I've just looked at suggest around 7cm by 18:00 tomorrow now if this band stalls and intensifies tomorrow afternoon we could be looking at some big totals in a short space of time. That's the only reason I can see for an amber warning

I wouldn't rule any snow out yet many could get a pleasant surprise tomorrow

The Met office have now issued an amber warning for snow for the NE A band of sleet and snow is expected to move eastwards across the region during Monday morning and early afternoon, clearing from the west through the afternoon, but possibly becoming slow moving over North Sea coastal counties during the evening.
