Slim my son. We can all hope but tbh, coastal areas will just be rain
-
Are we being serious? I mean blocking again? Fill me in please :o
-
ILS, Dw buddy I weren#t saying you were, lol I'm happy with our winter, typically Suffolk, or should I say Ipswich doesn't get the best snowfall. For extremes anywhere in Central Southern England gets the best, They get best storms, and high snowfalls.
-
jack you know what here. I wasn't expecting anything so to receive nothing is not going make me suicidal
-
ILS, Its probably weakened and died off  on a serious note, how long are we expecting this to hand around? its looking heavy, so Id expect a few cm out of it
-
honestly now, I think we'll be too close to the coast to see any significant snow. I think Cambridgeshire, Herts, Berks will get a fair few inches but I'm just not confident will see anything of substance here. Love to be wrong.
-
From experience I thought that Bigger flakes can indicate that it's marginal? God I'm not any good at snow, I'm more into storms, but hey if Davie says snow I'll trust him
-
I'm sorry, I just see alot of polish getting a bad press. A little tetchy that's all. I'm not going to moan about getting snow or not. I want the warm weather now tbh. Had enough of the cold.

nope, simple answer Not in SUFFOLK anyway

there's hardly no coverage of it on the news. Even though I believe it's stronger than Dean? The british media don't seem interested tbh. Looks impressive on the satalite
-
I think it was 29c in April/May time
-
whats all this about sunday? first I've heard of it. Tomorrows rain is nothing to worry about tbh, it's thursdays which would dump 25mm across southern parts. Lets hope not. Although a good evening storm would be cool.

100% sure it was a supercell, you can tell when the camera is panned across, the structure def looks like it by the footage. Also I think the clouds look like they have layers. This probably helped the hail grow as rapid growth spurts mean the hail can get bigger and bigger like the american storms. Very lucky people. Wish I could have something like that.
quick thing, can anyone get some radar or sat images of the storm
-
It certainly looks like a FC instead of scudd. Very organised and smooth looking. Nice capture considering.
-
shouldn't this be in the news section? Either way, ignorance by organisers, rough weather and they still let them out?!
-
Cool, well if you could e-mail me the details then I'd be very interested indeed. Thanks alot

cool, I hadn't noticed that. So when does the full amount have to be paid up?

Hi guys, just really opened this thread to get some info and numbers so I can figure things out. Here's the thing, I'm 20 years old and want to go on an adventure holiday, something that I will always remember. So, as you may have worked out I want to go storm chasing in the states. I've been searching and scanning various chasing companies to see which one takes my fancy etc. So I've sort of got my heart on a company called TRADD. Now as I've been realising, the price is like $1799 roughly which includes the accomodation, and the tour itself. This means I have to buy my own food and flights to and from Dallas. So heres the thing, how much spending money should one take on a week long trip and how much am I looking at for a return trip to Dallas? Most appreciated.

Guys, Ive just witnessed a great storm around Haverhill, ridgewell (North Essex border). One of the best in years! Cloud to ground lightning every 10 seconds for 45 minutes, some of the heaviest rainfall Ive witnessed, and I think I witnessed a funnel cloud, I just hope the photo is clear enough, the rain was torrential! Was out in my car, parked up then the heavens just opened and continued for 30 minutes, widspread flooding, incredible. Within 10 minutes roads were cut off, had to travel 4 miles to get home (normal 1/2 mile) because three routes id normally go were deep under water. Eventually the water subsided. Wonderful storm!!
That will do me for a long while, that was a big fix
Pictures to follow

Just leave the forum and don't come back Trying to make me jealous like that. Just a few miles further east and that baby would've been mine

So you think we may see something Kold?
-
Well it's probably too far west for me tbh. What are the chances or anything else coming up from france within the next 6 hours?
-
well very slow dark high clouds atm, hopefully that cell can have the manners to let me know what its all about, is that system backbuilding? just looks a tad like it is
-
huge flash a minute ago, and the rumble shook the house. I could feel it in my feet
-
we had a huge piece of sheet lightning 10 minutes ago, flashed twice and light up my study, not a massive rumble though

I'm flying out to Vegas early Saturday morning and will be in Vegas until Wednesday where i will fly to California. Any advice on progged temps for the period listed above as ive seen different temperature variations. It fluctuates from 71-85F etc, with clear blue skies. I know that it's not going to be mega hot but I'm sure even mid 70's will seem warm compared to what we've had here. So please,,,any predictions would be massively appreciated.
