Hamburg has an average high of around 22C, in Leeds and Manchester it is 21C, in Birmingham it's around 22C, and so on. Germany has some very warm summer sports in the SW around the Rhine valley, but that's only a small part of the country, and the big difference is mostly temperature - sunshine levels are very low in both countries.
