Yes, looks like heavy showers over Manchester! Can't see any forming here though, been too far north every day this week. Starting to forget what thunder sounds like..

Are you in the Eastern part of the city?

  2. Cloud not burning away today, very disappointing. Probably will end up getting more sunshine when the Atlantic returns.

You probably will, it was pretty sunny in Manchester for most of the day, very hazy though. 24C was a little higher than expected maybe too.

  3. Looks like I have bees or wasps living in one of my air vents.. hmm.

Prefer bees, if it's wasps then call pest control before you end up with thousands of them in there:bomb:

I have some wasp spray that I'll try first, if that fails I'll have to fork out money on pest control. Wasps are vile creatures!

Interestingly a fairly big difference between Liverpool Airport and Crosby, it was 14C at 14:50 at Liverpool Airport and 11.5C at Crosby. Surprising difference over a few miles.

  11. Leeming, N Yorks had 16 hours of sun yesterday - and that's despite the misty start. Just a reminder of how long our days are here, and how much sunshine we can potentially receive.

The period from late May to early September is usually good enough for me - the problem is, there is no room for error. Above average is great. Average is alright. Below average is awful. At least in places like Madrid a below average summer is still very warm.

    3. Daniel*

      Daniel*

In London warmth can be obtained from April to early October

As it can here - but late May is a good bet for sustained warmth. We night reach 26C for a day in April but it won't last.

  13. UV index now reaching 6 here - rated high. Slap on that sunscreen - even though it's cold, lol.

Karyo - if we get a cold summer and a mild winter, I will be in climatic hell! 2007 and 2008 were terrible for this reason.

    3. cheese

anyweather - it's the weather that makes it horrible. It would be the best place in the world otherwise.. in my opinion of course.
