  1. I would say yes think of how many lifes could be saved. People would have 6 months then to prepare for a hurricane or a bad storm etc. Also with cold weather the elderly can prepare better as well. It makes me think how selfish some people are who just want it all for 'fun'.
  2. Surprised 2012 people aren't all over this. They could do with a good hit on the head.
  3. I think this October will be the coldest one of all time... after the heatwave of course.
  4. That chart would still produce gusts 60mph to 70mph for Western Scotland. I believe the GFS will probably follow what UKMO is saying. But that's just my thought.
  5. I can't understand why UKMO is not showing anything as serious to the GFS. Anyone know? I'm new to this stuff. And at the moment I don't think it will hit the UK we may get some windy weather but I think the worse may just miss us.
  6. 06z shows it hit Western Scotland but another slight downgrade from the run before. Not sure what to believe GFS or the ECM and UKMO.
  7. Latest gfs run shows it near the UK but a downgrade from the last run. ECM has picked it up but UKMO not interested and makes the low nothing worrying.
  8. 06z has moved it further North just by a bit with a slight downgrade.
  9. What's peoples thoughts of that big low around 144 hours? Will it come near us? Or just miss us. Appearing on all main models at the moment but some disagreement over how strong it will be and where it will go.
  10. I kinda like it a bit on the bright side and colourful though.
  11. Well that's summer over not long before leafs will turn orange.
