  1. couple of monumental downpours this evening in orpington, coupld of flashes of lightning with one good CG, tried to catch it on vid and still it out but seem to have missed it
  2. pouring down and three decent flashes of lightning,, thunder rumbling around not too active electrically really.....

  4. bit breezy so far in orpington and a couple of heavy burst of rain.. radar looks interesting to the SW though...
  5. pretty wild here in orpington, my rather inaccurate barometer is now at 968 hpa.. it read 1002 this morning at 9am.. areas of petts wood now on flood alert, not good..

  11. ran the great south run this morning... it was blowing a hoolie then on Southsea Seafront!
  12. off to watch the paddock wood half marathon today... sun streaming through, opened door to let cat in and its warm too (the sun that is!)
  13. Must say the radar is cause for concern, seems to be tracking further east than progged.. Also seems to be losing some intensity.
  14. Suddenly clouded over and large spots of rain.. Quite a relief really, like a pressure cooker here, will it go pop later?
  15. A quite momentous day really. Strangely when I moved south last year I expected more storms down here.... How wrong was I!

  17. Bbc forecast this am talked of light snow moving in from the east but the main event firmly in the west... Talking of very cold nights Friday onwards too...
  18. About 1-2 cm now in Orpington still level 6-7 radar full of it...
