  1. couple of monumental downpours this evening in orpington, coupld of flashes of lightning with one good CG, tried to catch it on vid and still it out but seem to have missed it
  2. pouring down and three decent flashes of lightning,, thunder rumbling around not too active electrically really.....
  3. rumble of thunder in the distance, squall line incoming into SE london
  4. bit breezy so far in orpington and a couple of heavy burst of rain.. radar looks interesting to the SW though...

    pretty wild here in orpington, my rather inaccurate barometer is now at 968 hpa.. it read 1002 this morning at 9am.. areas of petts wood now on flood alert, not good..

The winds will ease from the west by morning. The public should be prepared for disruption, particularly to travel and for interruptions to power supplies. Winds will strengthen further across southeast England during the early hours of Tuesday, with the potential for damaging gusts inland as well as along the coast. The winds will ease quickly from the west before dawn.
