Heavy in S26, J31 of M1. Road / Cars covered in under 5 mins. Lights keep flickering too, not seen any lightning yet

Been dandruff all night here and not settling, 60m ASL, that is until about 20 mins ago. Now heavy flakes and road / cars all covered nicely. Ipod set up in window (hopefully) collecting a nice time lapse for the morning Sheff council switch off street cameras till 7:30am so not sure what rest of Sheffield like apart from The Pit's east looking cam, bottom left corner shows quite heavy http://92.234.201.173:84/en/quicktime_player.asp

72 second timelapse covering about 12 hours overnight last night thaw..snow..thaw

Couple of pics from the garden, had about 5" snow overnight mainly from about 3am. Still fine stuff coming down but accumalated snow does look to be melting.

Out by J31 , same but with some white stuff interspersed

Out in the car this afternoon and went from +3 to -1 in matter of a minute with one of the showers then back up to +2 a few mins later.

Just one crack of thunder and lightning within a second of each other here about 20 mins ago. Sleeting which is sticking to tarmac and cars but no snow....yet -
no kidding, the flakes out here about 20 mins ago were the size of tennis balls in diameter, only come down for a few minutes but massive. Had about 2" in last hour

Just started in Swallownest South East Sheffield, 5p size flakes and not many for now, but across the valley hazing over nicely so it's on it's way
