was the snow to SW meant to be as far east as it is? thought it was meant to pivot west. Not complaining or anything.
From what i have heard it was meant to be further west but bits are spreading further east.
Like you, we have had almost non stop snow from 7am but the ground isn't even covered as it is drifting so much

Nothing here in the Cambridgeshire corridor of shame. Seems we might be the only area in the region without snow. Even the heavy stuff coming through on the radar looks like missing us.
We have nothing at all in Milton Keynes either. Had a brief flurry yesterday and a few flakes this morning but nothing on the ground now and nothing else destined for us apart from maybe an inch Friday night /Saturday morning

Is it just me or is the radar stuck on 12:25?

Decisions my Mercedes AMG sport rear wheel drive automatic with heated seats windscreen or my daughter's KA with nothing heated? gotta go work got not option ?
You may have gone by now but the KA would be the easier option in terms of driving. Front wheel drive and skinny tyres perform far better in the snow than rear wheel drive and lots of bhp. Have a safe trip whatever you have used!

it's 19.6 mm, so basically just under an inch
mm would be rain, with snow it is generally 8-10 times more iirc so it is predicting close to 20cm

Netweather showing 19cm of snow from 2100-0000 tonight - surely can't be right?!?!
Not quite as bad/good for me, 10cm expected between 3-6pm in Milton Keynes but 4 inches in an hour even seems a lot!
-
So pleased, but a bit jealous of you getting all the snow in and around London!
Nothing up here in Milton Keynes, had a couple of brief light showers yesterday and today but none on the ground at the minute. Long may it continue for all
-
First few flakes, and i mean a few, now falling in Milton Keynes
-
Nothing here in milton keynes yet apart from lovely blue skies
-
Skies have brightened here in the last 5mins but it is still just about snowing
-
Starting to get a bit heavier here now and larger flakes, just about starting to settle on the grass
-
Very light snow just started here in MK
-
Had a third hand report of heavy snow in kettering, nothing of note near central MK yet
-
Snow has started now just outside milton Keynes
-
I fully accept my own useless predictions!! I am just about to leave work and then make my way carefully to CMK then home ~10 miles. I am guessing about an hour to do the trip
-
Still snowing here in MK but looking at raintoday we are over the heaviest of it and it may die out in around an hour
-
will this be the heaviest its going to get here in luton or will it turn heavier or fizzle out?
been snowing from light to moderate since 9am and have a nice white blanket outside.
just got a call to collect the little ones from school!
We seem to be about an hour ahead of you in weather terms here in MK. It is still snowing fairly heavily but small flakes and quite 'wet' snow. We have about 3-4 cm currently.
-
Raintoday radar is currently down.
Too many part time weather enthusiasts (guilty!) overloading it i presume..

Been snowing for around an hour in Aylesbury. Very light and powdery but sticking on roads and pavements. Around 1cm deep.
Duncan
Pretty much the same here in MK, tiny flakes but moderate snowfall and very gusty
-
There are literally a couple of flakes here in MK. Car thermometer says -1
The roads are all clear as despite constant light snow from about 4pm to 10pm yesterday none of it really settled, maybe an inch of snow currently laying on the verges.
-
It is snowing very very lightly here in Milton Keynes.
Looking at the radar it isn't going to last long at all

And in Milton Keynes now, not very heavy at the minute though
