  1. Just woken up to find heavy snow falling here in north east Hampshire. I don't think its been falling for long, but it it definitely settling. Didn't expect this!
  2. Light snow has just started here Other than this, there has been nothing falling today. It has been grey and gloomy!
  3. Still moderate snow falling here. So that is 3-4 hours of it now. Only settled on cars/grass, 1-2cm. I have just returned from the supermarket and the roads and paths are clear. I can't say the same about the car park though! I decided to park on the top level and it was completed covered. Made a very interesting and slippery walk between the car and the stairs! 5. Thanks for the info Timer. Might see a light covering by the time it has finished then
  6. Been snowing moderately here for the best part of an hour now. Only just settling on cars and grass though. Looking at the radar, it looks as though we could have this for a couple of hours. But will it stay as snow?? I don't have access to any temps/DP's (phone app is useless and no weather station of my own) so I can't keep an eye on that!
  7. Big wet snowflakes mixed in with rain here. Definitely not settling though. It has been like this for the past hour but, unless the rain stops and leaves just snowflakes, I can't see this coming to much! I still have only heavy rain forecast for tomorrow, with a brief change to sleet early monday morning. So I will be keeping an eye on whether the low does shift south tomorrow. We will be out celebrating my son's 11th birthday so, from a selfish POV, could it wait until after 8pm??! I don't fancy being stuck in the car with 3 children
  8. I hope you are right. On the radar I keep seeing a hole appearing just over Hampshire! I'm assuming the met office think that the band will keep pepping up.
  9. Still fairly heavy snow here. Looks around 2cm, judging by the snow on top of my car. Quite tricky to tell in the dark though! The met office have heavy snow for me for the rest of the day, and light snow for tomorrow until 6pm. Looking at the radar though, it seems to be fizzling out to the east of this region? Hopefully I'm seeing things!
  10. Big, wet snowflakes have been falling for just over half an hour now. Just starting to stick the the pavements where last friday's snow has been cleared away. If this keeps up we may see a decent amount in a couple of hours!
  11. And it has just started raining!! But it has a really sleety appearance, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it turn to snow soon Temp is around 1c (according to accuweather phone app) Definitely sleet/snow now. But Timer beat me to it!!
  12. Radar has been showing ppn over this part of the region for over an hour now, but I can assure you that there has been nothing. No rain, sleet, snow, drizzle, snizzle or anything else that could possibly come down!! Metoffice app has heavy snow for me at 3pm and 6pm, so something has to turn up soon!
  13. Nothing here yet Kiwi. I think I am about 20 miles south of you? It can't be far away!
  14. Some of us are here! I am keeping an eye on the radar. The met office has the heavy snow arriving here around 6pm, but the band of precipitation seems to be heading NW. So I'm not highly confident of a lot of snow here. Still, these things can change at the last minute so I know I will be checking that radar every half an hour or so!!
  15. Hmmm, that 1st heavy band appears to be pivoting North-West. So it may miss us completely. However there is a small (less intense) band coming up behind which seems to be going North-East. I'm not convinced we are going to see a lot of snow out of this
