This could be a bad scenario for Delaware, New Jersey, and NYC.

What are the chances of this being a fish storm? May be similar to Betsy in 1956 if it shifts to the east.

Track is very uncertain at this point. Either Florida takes a direct hit or gets sideswiped. The GA/Carolina coastline should really keep an eye on this. If the storm does track along the US east coast, it could be a major flooding event, especially in the NJ/NY area.

I would love to have a "dull" summer. The temperatures you folks have sound absolutely perfect. Here in the US we're sweltering year after year. Consider yourselves lucky!

Sounds very nice. Here's it's around 28 C and humid. Hopefully some severe thunderstorms will blow through to cool things off.

The deluge continues here in the Northeastern US. Parts of the NY metropolitan area has recorded as much as ten inches of rain the past few days.

Heavy rains here in the Northeastern US today. At least the hot and humid conditions of last month have broken. Let's hope it doesn't return.

This is the storm I just mentioned in another thread. My area got a measely ten inches, but Eastern New Jersey and NYC got socked with 20-30 inches of snow. What's the highest snow total ever recorded in the UK?

Great post Luke. I hope you folks in the UK continue to get more cold and snow. As much as I love clouds and showery weather, it can wait until March or April. I live in a humid continental climate here in NW New Jersey (approximately 50-60 MPH northwest of NYC). The whole area (including NYC) was just hit by a huge blizzard with strong winds and heavy snows. Some places received about 30 inches of snow. It was wonderful. But by next weekend they're calling for a thaw with showers and highs in the 40s (around 7.2 C). It can be sad to see the snow melt, but if this winter continues the way it has been, be rest assured that colder and possibly snowier conditions will return.

Glad you folks in the UK are finally getting some memorable winters again. The same has been happening here in the US over the past couple years.
