Raining hard here. Temp of 2.1, dp of 1.3 so not a chance of snow unless things change significantly. SO pleased for those of you with snow, think this is our third winter of nothing now?!
Keep the faith, Serendipity! Your temperature and dp are pretty much what I was recording just an hour ago - now we're at 0.8°C and 0.2°C and falling fast.
I think you're just an hour or so behind us, that's all

Beautiful out there, had to just have a little walk around haha. About a cm, not sure how the Met have me down for more than 6 hours left of it though, as the radar suggests it's almost over! I'm up for work at 6am so I'll find out I'm sure.
Up for work, at six o'clock in the morning on a Sunday???!! That sounds like my idea of hell lol

Sounds like some colder air is starting to push south with the heavier PPN, good news for some of us if so.
The temperature and dp are being really stubborn here, they hardly seem to be shifting - currently 1.8°C and 1.1°C respectively.

Raining lightly here in Knowle. Temp is currently 1.9°C with a dp of 0.8°C
The ppn does seem to have intensified somewhat up North, fingers crossed the East Midlands will be the main beneficiaries of that later tonight

Still completely dry here, although cloud has moved in from the North over the past hour or two. Temp is currently 2.7°C with a dp of -0.8°C

Dew points are dropping steadily across the Midlands now. We have already dropped to -3.1°C here.
Good luck to those of you in the far west of the region tonight, keeping my fingers crossed for you! It's about time that Telford, Shrewsbury etc had their fair share

Suspect we are too far east and will miss out.
Perhaps, but it would only take a very slight eastwards shift to bring the rest of us back into contention as well
Currently 3.3°C here, with a dp of 0.7°C

According to model thread, big downgrades on this cold spell? Only lasting a few days now?
The models are flip-flopping all over the place at the moment, so I wouldn't worry too much at this stage. I'd take everything post 96hrs with a big pinch of salt.
Plus, any sort of cold spell is welcome after that vile, awful December.

Solihull snow shield is down!!!!
Its SNOWING!!!!!
very soggy flakes but at least it's snow ❄️❄️❄️
Indeed, we had quite a nice little covering at one stage this morning - it all seems to have turned to a slushy mess now however.
Still, some snow is better than no snow!

Been outside with the back light on and if I've observed it correctly, there's some little sleety bits mixed in with the rain just now. Temperature around 3.5*C with a Dewpoint around 2.5*C (but slowly dropping). Would be nice to see it turn into full on snow, but even sleety rain is a bit more exciting than just 100% pure rain (lol).
Whilst you're out there, would you mind powering down the Solihull Snow Shield please? There's a good chap

Ugh the MOD thread makes awful reading this morning. Why does it always have to be so complicated?
Nonetheless, at least it will be getting a lot colder for all of us next week

Very windy night with gales gusting 68mph, 13mm rain in the early hours but now dry with a avg wind speed of 25.2mph W/S/W, Temp 11c.
Zero rain here so far, PM. But definitely getting very wind now!
Most areas to the north and west of here must be getting slammed with heavy rain and very strong winds right now.

A very unsettled few days coming up, according to the latest forecasts. The wind predictions throughout Saturday are a real eye-opener on XC Weather.
