We need a robbing hood!! rob the rich to feed the poor!! HA HA with this government no chance of that.

  2. Statistically speaking, March 2013 was probably the most remarkable month of the Netweather era so far, trumping even December 2010.

      Bishop Brennan

@Stormmad26 I'm not talking about depth of cold, just how remarkable the month was from a statistical perspective.

    2. Polar Maritime

      Polar Maritime

Yes Bish, Once in 50yr event here!

    3. Evening thunder

      Evening thunder

Thats true, though I mean statistics here too, Jan 2010 had at least a similar negative anomaly IMBY, as well as min temps 8C lower, while the warm March 2012 had a min only 1.2C higher than this month's lowest min lol.

Of course that's just in my back yard and it will be different elsewhere particularly further north.

      summer blizzard

no, he had villa 5 points off the lead at christmas in 09 and has had enormous success. I think he's one of the best out there and if you put him in charge of a half decent team he'll win.

  12. UKIP, the party described by Cameron as "fruitcakes & loonies", last night pushed the Tories into third place.

    1. Isolated Frost

      Isolated Frost

BB- if yesterday's vote swing for all parties was reflected in the GE, Labour would have a mammoth victory- I think the 'opposition' will be pretty pleased!

    2. Bishop Brennan

      Bishop Brennan

Good point IS. Labour were the only one of the 'big three' to actually increase their vote share, albeit slightly.

    3. Bristle boy

      Bristle boy

I think there's a chance that UKIP will 'hold' the balance of power after the next GE.

  13. Approaching midday here in Solihull, and the temp is still only 0.4c

    1. frogesque

      frogesque

It's February! Daylight is getting longer though so I expect it will reach 10C by July

    2. Bishop Brennan

      Bishop Brennan

The broader point I was making is that it seems quite unusual for midday temps to be so low under full cloud cover and in a brisk wind.

    3. Summer Sun

      Summer Sun

I would take a northerly wind any day over an easterly at least in a northerly you get more sunshine unlike the dull muck an easterly produces

  14. Yet again this winter, frozen out of my own car this morning. Didn't realise it was going to be so cold overnight, almost -5c by dawn.

  20. I see Villa have tried to solve the problem of being over-reliant on inexperienced youngsters by signing a 22yo midfielder from the French second division.

    1. NUT

  21. My local weather station records a mean temperature for each day - can somebody confirm how this is calculated? Would it be an avg of every hourly temp perhaps?
