  1. Some of that stuff coming out of The Wash right now looks very juicy indeed. But will it make it's way far enough inland? Bish
  2. Well I'm rather enjoying it so far. Sure as hell beats wet & mild murky nothingness sweeping in from the Atlantic every day. Sure, the past couple of days have been a bit more hit & miss than many of us would've preferred, but it is what it is Bish
  3. Time to set out for my usual evening stroll, methinks. Gotta keep up with the exercise, a little bit of cold ain't no excuse! Bish
  4. Now THAT is one mouth-watering chart! BANK, and bank again just because! My only gripe is the timing, I always much prefer daytime snow events so I can actually see the flippin' stuff falling properly Bish
  5. Certainly a more active - and therefore more interesting - day for Midlands shower activity compared to yesterday for most of us. From what I can tell, everything is still approaching us from a NE direction - is that due to change? Bish
  6. Well it was nice while it lasted. Now the suns comes back out to say Hello! Currently 0.1°C with a dp of -3.8°C Bish
  7. Yaaaay, excellent snow shower here right now, really coming down! Bish
  8. Lol it's not him, it's the forum auto-correcting certain phrases. I think it dates back several years ago when the same poster (Ian Brown I think?) kept repeating the same few words to such an extent he was driving everyone barmy. So the mods applied an auto-correct to make him look silly. Bish
  9. That sounds like they expect the LP to stay further south, which overall isn't necessarily a bad outcome if we want our region to retain the cold air. Bish
  10. Radders! Hello mate, I remembered you the other day when I resumed posting on here for the first time in ages. Good to have you back with us Are you the chap who used to live near to a power station or something, or am I getting you mixed up with somebody else? Bish
  11. Option #1 gets my vote every time But if I had to choose between either a big snow event and a warm up OR less snow but remaining very cold, I'd probably plump for the second option overall. Snow events which eventually lead to milder conditions never quite do it for me, even if the initial snow is pretty significant. Bish
  12. Just coming to the end of forty minutes or so of moderate (and occasionally heavy) snow, which happily settled right away. Currently -0.5°C with a dp of -3.9°C Bish
  13. Evidence of some beefier showers starting to move in from the east. Hopefully we'll start to see something a bit more substantial re snow by about 15:00 or so. Bish
  14. Thanks for the summary, Supacell. I was about to catch up on the MOD thread, but I think I'll give it a miss if the wrist slashers are running amok this morning. The negativity in there can become very draining after a while. Bish
  15. Oh great, now I've got Phil flippin Collins on my internal jukebox for the rest of the day! Bish
  16. Considering we're only a few short hours into a days-long event, that is already one very encouraging looking radar right now. Just a bit more oomph needed to push those showers further west across the whole Midlands region Currently -1.3°C with a dp of -4.6°C Bish
  17. Reports of snow in Norwich right now. It's beginning.......... Bish
  18. lol to be honest I was just trying to wind up 'Atlantic 252'...............he's not exactly her greatest fan for some reason, IIRC Bish
  19. Still a bit early to say with great confidence. The charts currently suggest snow - and lots of it - but details won't be firmed up until closer to the time. Bish
  20. A lot happier since we last spoke, Fizz! Good to see you again And yes, I do believe even the Solihull Snow Shield will be breached at some point in the coming 48hrs Bish
  21. We actually managed to briefly get up to 5.1°C here in Solihull this afternoon. I wonder when the next time will be that any of us surpass the 5°C mark? Temperature dropping rapidly now, currently 1.7°C with a dp of -6.9°C Bish
  22. Great spot, from hopefully the soon-to-be mostly aptly named poster on the forum! Bish
  23. The weather is so beautiful today, glorious sunshine with barely any breeze. Had a lovely walk round Knowle & the surrounds this morning, after all I might not get many more opportunities for exercise this coming week Currently 4.9°C here with a dp of -5.1°C Bish
