Sleety stuff for about an hour, more snowy last ten minutes

Some really large flakes, tries to stick, but intensity not heavy enough

Precipitation getting more wintry

Just got back in , bumped into Dennis Quaid while out, he was asking for directions to the library. Just around the corner from me and at a slightly lower level it turned very sleety, the lying snow far slasher. Turned back home and it changed more to snow. Stopped briefly but snowing again now.

My wife says a few flakes of snow came down while she was up at Keele half an hour ago

heavier again and after a melt its covered again

Been snowing for around an hour, light covering

Precipitation turned icier here in the last 5 mins as it came down heavy and with some strong gusts

Don't know whether there are any stattos out there ( or oldies like me) . Memory tells me that May Bank Holiday in one of the years 1995/6/7 on the Friday before the weekend outside work soaking up the sun no jacket needed, went to work on the holiday Monday with a couple of inches of snow on the ground. Also, early mid 80s around the 2nd week of May heavy rain turned to snow in the evening, Hanley park had contrasting pink blossomed trees snow covered grass and wet grey paths criss crossing . No mobiles to take photos then, unfortunately.

Maybe they smelt the landfill site at Silverdale and they'vemade a detour. It reeks something terrible tonight.
