  1. Starting to snow here. Proper fluffy flakes, not the icy crystals of last night.
  2. After flirting with 0 Deg.C, the temperature here is now dropping. Now at -0.4 and dropped about 0.2 deg in the last hour. No precipitation, no thaw yet. Birds are having a real feast on the corn thrown out onto the ice covered snow. Sheet black ice on the lane with gradient outside, impossible for any vehicles to traverse.
  3. Some more ice rain glazing pics from s.coast of IOW. No precipitation here, hovering around freezing, DP below. No melting yet.
  4. Thanks, got a few more. Padlock, Leaves, Car headlight. Not wet, but totally hard glazed. Overhead power cables are coated also, but too high to take a picture. Got a south facing front door, so no issues to get outside thanks.
  5. The glaze of freezing rain on my north facing conservatory window. Photo taken a couple of minutes ago. Never seen anything like it!
  6. Evidence of freezing rain here on SW coast of the Island also. Althouogh currently mixed in with Grauple, plants have clear, frozen droplets on upper leaf surfaces.

  8. Raining on the SW coast of the IOW. Very occcasional wet flake mixed in.
  9. Very first traces of sleet beginning to mix in with the rain in the IOW south-west coastal strip.
  10. I'm on the southern tip of the Ile of Wight - Comletely manic outside with gusty winds and the sky alight.
  11. Relatively plenty of precipitation still to come, we might just get a wet snow coverign at this rate after all..
  12. Atherfield on the Island checking in here... Rain stopped, winds moderately strong but not increasing further as yet. Sea will be going wild tonight.
  13. After a weekend of heavy rain here in Cornwall (Falmouth area), the wind is really picking up tonight. Should be an interesting drive and then car ferry back to the IOW tomorrow. Decided to head in-land via the A303 rather than take the coastal route via Bridport.
  14. First crack of thunder on south coast of IOW.
