-8 when I left home this morning, and it's stupidly dangerous here at work in Gerrards Cross, as it looks like there's naff all gritting. Carriageways like ice-rinks.

And was as jaffa cakesed as a fart and spent most of his time sleeping it off.

I would like it to be. * Snow - check. * Frost - check. * Wind - check. * Rain - check. Warm and dry now please.

Torrential rain as I drove through the Hatfield tunnel this morning, and amazing lightening. Arrived in Gerrards Cross, and mizzling.....

Also the amount of Emergency messages you get out here on your phone, even through our TV are insane. Scares the bejesus out of you first time you get one, but a great system.

What an insane 10 hours or so. We’re in a Villa in Davenport which is near Kissimmee. Started getting extremely wet and windy from 7.30pm last night, and is still going, at 8am this morning. Incredibly glad that I’ve experienced a hurricane (cat 2), but wouldn’t wish it on anyone. No let up in storm force winds in the duration, and the rain, never seen the amount fall in 24 hours. Also sounded at times like a tornado was outside, just an absolute brutal experience. Luckily the electric and villa is in one piece. Flight home tomorrow is cancelled, but being rescheduled for Saturday or Sunday. Glad that’s over.

I’ll let you all know how it goes, in Davenport, Polk County, due to fly home Friday.

One 5 minute downpour in Gerrards Cross, all day.

1 day out of the three storm warnings down. I work in Gerrads Cross, Bucks - didn't/hasn't rained. I live in Codicote, Herts - didn't/hasn't rained. Can't remember the last time being under an advisory for storms, and having said storms. Fresher though. Nice.
