Clouded over, but been another nice useable summers day.

A prelude to autumn here. Fizzle-snizzling.

Don't get me wrong, this part of the country has done well this summer - long gloriously sunny summer days that you remember as a kid, but not excessively hot, just about right, that have stretched on for months, with the odd bonus storm chucked in for good measure. BUT Today has been a taster of what is to come, a reminder that the turn of season is just around the corner, and I for one, will look forward to this cycle. This mornings mist, driving to work with the lights on, and this afternoons mist and merk, as the afternoon wears on. Love summer, but now had enough. Here's to being all cosy at home, whilst the wind and rain lashes the windows, and thoughts turn towards frosty mornings and foggy days. Sometimes I think I'm blessed to live in this isle that has seasons.

Thought someone mentioned rain? Dry as here. ATM.

I counted about 26no spots of rain as the showers went through here in Potters Bar. Brightening up now.

Lucky I'm off to sorrento then on Friday.

Well, heard my first Christmas advert on the radio a few weeks back. They start earlier and earlier I swear.

National weather has tomorrow nights storm further west.

Local weather wrong again I see. Been persisting down for the last hour.

Took the family and parents to Whipsnade today. Cracking day even if "her in doors" had her cardie on most of it.

Been like that for what seems forever. Working weeks have been mostly dry, warm and pleasant, come the weekends at least one day lost to rain. Or it's windy and overcast and cool.

Half way through washing the car then the rain came. Sorry folks, my bad.

Can anyone actually get a handle on this weather? You can tell when the Whitwell Steam and Rally shows on, in Codicote (!), cos it rains. Been an overcast misty morning, now chucking it down. Thought it was supposed to be dry but cloudy?

Not a drop of rain let alone a rumble of thunder. Like chasing snow this.

Yeah, rain over night clearing away then another pulse late morning. Non result.

Just got the grass done before we had a shower. Now dry again. 18 degrees.

No sunnier bits here. It's not raining though. Stopped around 3 ish.
