    Just had my coldest night of the winter. Dropped to -4.7 Currently -3.6 Very icy after last nites late shower.

    Sorry but the bbc are getting worse at forcasting these situations. I was slap bang in the warning zone and all the ppn drifted s.w all night towards sussex ..nothing for most of Kent. The graphics they showed last night had you thinking it was a mainly kent affair but nowt. Glad to see other peps joining in on fun even if it was my fun ...

    Just had a moderate flurry. Slight dusing on cars & grass.. temp 0.5c. Still not settling on pavements & roads though so still not cold enough.

    Temps dropping fast here. Down to 1.9c Hope this bodes well for settling dnow later.

    Had a few light graupal showers this afternoon. Nothing of any purpose. Temps topped at 3.8c. Currently 2.6c.. Hoping for my 1 c.m tonight... Yes it has come to that ! Currently having a light flurry..

    I feel your pain... quite a few people across our Great land will view Winter 2017/18 as a fairly memorable one Dont think i will be one of them. Roll on Spring

    Looks good for Norfolk,suffolk , maybe Essex. Not sure it will make kent. Fingers crossed it does though. Shall be watching the front like a hawk tmoz...

    If we are lucky and it peps ups. Then we could all get C.m or 2.. some lucky ones in sweet spot 5cm. ( best case scenario) Or it just fizzles out. At the moment its a watch & wait gane.. Nowcasting !

    Like the look of this.. for one it will be colder wth temps ahead of this front around freezing no warm winds of n.sea. And its frontal so if Carol right we could be in for a few inchs in the lucky spots Keep watching.

    Have had snow showers on & off all night but wth temps hovering between 2&3c hardly surprzing that nothing has stuck. Not the sort of temps i expected wth -10 850s of a continental source.. Quite what we need to get lying snow these days has me at a loss!! Kids are upset cos daddy told them it would snow in the night. It did !! The wrong type i told them....

    I understand his pain. The mod charts were looking great 4 days ago. I feel we are always looking at great charts 7 days away and they never turn to fruition. We just need the cards to fall in our favour for once. The problem seems to be not cold enough yet on the contient. ( plus sst are a little higher than the norm. I dont want to keep hearing end of Feb Time is ticking... the sun on Thursday last week had real warmth. Its got to hapoen now.

    Well i do live in kent And we have lovely wet pavements.. After a few sleety showers. Temp at 2c..

    I dont....As i think a lot of the ppn here will be sleety & wet...higher ground around dover (north downs) may fair better... Still not understanding why the d.ps are forcast to be so high wth a continental feed & -8-10 uppers.

    The point we need to make here is even at 6 hr forcasts we have changes. Apparently todays front would not make it as far as kent , sussex .. well let me tell you its raining here in ramsgate. Which tells me the will it wont it snow imby is completly up in the air until it happens , and its the same wth the moddeled cold & how long it will last. Let it play out and there may be some surprises.
