Morning all This will probably be my last post of this fruitful spell IMBY 8th day wth lying snow. All be it rather patchy now but still good cover in north facing areas. Dropped to -2.0c Currently-0.2c I've had 4 ice days out of the 7 days.(top temp was only 1.5c ) Ground is Rock hard water buts frozen solid. If this had continued there wouldn't have been good for the birds. Fully expecting the snow to be gone by tomorow morning wth plus temps inbound. It's been a very enjoyable week. Impressive I lived at Pewell bay, Thanet in 1987 , sea shore froze out (and yes I walked on it) to about 800 yards , now that was exceptional.. Still -2.6c here now.

Dropped to -4.2c Currently -3.5 6th day wth lying snow. Bitter wind Loving it

Here also. All of back and side of house good snow cover. Bushs , conifurs, shrubs still wth many centimetres of snow Sorh facing areas patchy (but very icy) Temp here now -3.1c Snow not going anywhere fast until maybe sunday night/monday. It's been a cold spell.

Zero or below all day here. That's 3 ice days out of the 6 day spell so far..( top temp was yesterday, hit 1.7c) Cold one coming tonight..

Morning peeps. Very cold wind blowing out there this morning Just walked dog. Lots of ice everywhere. Gardens still have a good layer of snow , so that's the 6th day of lying.. Temp fell to -2.7c Currently -1.5c Thin high level cloud , sun breaking through though

Top temp today managed 1.3c Now at -1.5c , gonna be a cold one tonight. Snow cover , clear skies and light wind off the frozen continent. (Coldest night this year for me stands at -3.3 , so fully expecting that to be broken over the nxt few nights. Lost a lot of lying snow south facing areas but back garden which is North facing still chocka. Lovely dog walk today in the Alpine air.

Your right and I should of remembered that one. Weve had many dumps of the decades but it's the ones that stay on the ground for a week + that stay wth you.. I should of added 95 (brutally cold here ).to that list..

It's been a good spell. Cold and longevity (wth few days to go) 8/10 Depth of snow 6/10 (combined totals probably close to 18cm, wth inbetween slight thaws) Days wth falling snow and snow cover 8/10.(5 days falling snow , 5 days laying snow wth possibly couple more days to come) One to remember but at the age of 48 I've seen a some better ,(84,87,91,10,13) having said that no complaints after 3 years wth nowt I'll take it.. It's fun guys, happy chasing for nxt time. Current temp -0.2c Sunny.

Wow.. You must of been in a sweet spot. Snowed all evening here then lightest snow throughout the night. I would say a fresh 7cm on top of the old..(that would make a combined 23 cm over all from 5 days wth snow events.) -1.6c here at mo..

Morning peeps Very lightly snowing still this morning at manston. Now officially makes it 5 consecutive days wth falling snow to go along wth 5 days of laying snow. Epic.... Too early to measure as I'm watching from the bed.. Will report back soon wth detail..

After 5 nights of chasing I'm feeling more than a little fatigued. Gonna have to call it a night. Been a great day and topped off a good spell. Happy hunting guys. Currently light snow. Temp -1.2c

I lived in Minster during the 80s 82,84,85,87 were great winters. Couldn't get out of the village and when you got to the top of the roundabout the snow drifts were 5 foot high.. Great memories

Yep. I was there on Monday also. Mud fest by the time I got there . Told my kids if they want to go in the morning then it has to be an early one before every kid in Thanet gets there.. Should be a good few fresh inches on it tonight..

Hasent really stopped at manston since 6ish. Back garden is looking rather impressive now. Cant see a blade of grass.. And yes sledging sounds good tmrow..

Need to see falling snow after midnight to register 5 days of falling snow . That would put it up there wth some of the best spells. I was analysing this spell to soon I think. Been great this afternoon/evening. Do we think tmrow is likely to be an ice day? Meto has Zero IMBY.

Best fallling snow for a very long time.. Looks magical. So so heavy and big. On par wth 2013 now for depth.. The last shower alone has just dropped 3cm.. Temp now fallen to -1.9c. 20210210_185243.mp4

Do we think this is the convergence... If so it's gone from me already. lefd a few cm , but back to milky blue skies. Flipping cold now. -0.2c (feels colder though)

Heaviest snow here since 2010 now.. All thr bits that melted have now filled back in and adding depth to what we had already.

Yeah Hasnt stopped here now for half hour , looks like it's in for the afternoon.. Mabe the twig is ahead of schedule , therefore that might mean it's not wth us tonight !

Beafy shower moving through manston now. Temp 0.5c Settling on snow but struggling where snow melted.. Heaviest I've seen since Sunday..

Nothing really falling from the light pink . The really heavy stuff is just to the north of us at present..
