Paul thanks for the link some very nice pics on that forum..... The first one (not sure about the others) has had the red and blue hues/sats turned right up in Photoshop to make the picture way more red (7 Blue) than it should be, Im a graphic designer working with Photoshop and a few other packages for design....there are so tell tale signs in that pic if you know what you’re looking for Still a stunning pic to start with though, wish people wouldnt "tweak" umm so though :o

Im one of these "Power Kite" flyers & kitesurfers you see at the seaside with a Kite Buggy or out on the water with a big kite surfing. Ive been doing this sport for about 9 years now and have noticed a difference in Wind "power" depending on the time of year and the rest of the weather . Let me explain. In winter when its damp and cold with zonal south westerlys brining fronts in off the atlantic the "power" developed by my 5 meter size kite is way more than if i had been flying the same size kite in the summer on a dry summers day in exactly the same winds. Is anyone on here able to explain why this is happening, is it something to do with moisture in the atmosphere thats present on a damp day? When i say damp, i dont mean the day would be raining or even enough moisture in the air to make the kite wet while flying. If anyone has an answer i would love to know why. Thanks.

Sunday 2nd July -6.30am Tiverton, Mid Devon Good strong T-storm, lasted over an hour and a half (still the odd rumble as i write this), lightning every few seconds or so, followed by heavy rain

After missing out for what seems like months & months without any "proper" storms down here......it all came together lqst night with some serious storms on a night with no work in the morning It started at 2am here in Tiverton (Mid Devon) and went on all night, with lightning every few seconds as more and more storms passed all around, by 6am it calmed down a bit only to flair up again for a couple of hours!! What a show, it makes up for all the time ive been waiting..... I also had a very very close one while out filming last night, ive just got to take some screen shots and post them, but put it this way in one frame of the film you can see the leader/streamer coming from me just before a very big strike just accross the road!! how close!!! ... i will sort the pics out and post up ASAP!!

Hi i took these pictures on the 30th May from Middle Wallop Airfield near Andover at a Kite & Buggy Festi i was at!. This storm passed to the east i dont know if it produced lightning later, it did not as it passed us. It did produce a strange rainbow affect as it was early evening, i took the photo of the rainbow as this storm passed us, i then took a photo of the cloud as the weather cleared behind. It was the only cloud of this type in the sky at the time. Cheers Craig.
