  1. Netweather 7 day forecast promised me a thundery breakdown today!!
  2. Agreed, even as a coldie I feel robbed if we don't see a satisfactory amount of sunny 24'c days during our Summer months, if only to dry out all the damp areas of the garden that build up during the winter - kill off some of that moss in the lawn. Just my hunch, I'm sure the facts will prove me wrong, but I feel we see better days in September than July and August, but with the added benefit of crisper, chilly mornings, which aren't everyone's cup of tea obviously. We're about to enter the very worst part of summer IMO - the month of the house spiders
  3. I've literally met no-one who has said they've enjoyed it, are all your friends lizards? Walking around yesterday lunchtime the heat was absolutely fierce down here in that London - stifling The weekend is looking much more sensible!
  4. I'm waiting for the next lemming to tell us to "make the most of it" by, er, sitting down a lot
  5. you training or driving? driving may be marginally better today if you have aircon as i think the schools are off so the roads should be a tad quieter
  6. Morning all Aircon roaring away here, shame work doesn't have any!
  7. try 2 more days on the plus side though, you can probably literally "embrace" the heat by going outside and wrapping your arms around the humid air i might petition HR tomorrow for Spanish-style Siestas for when the heat is over 26'c a nice cool, dewy Summer's morning on the cards Saturday, perfect for golf
  8. Not sure why folk are blabbering on about "embracing" the heat Too hot for golf, sleeping difficult, workplace stifling..... Sunny and 22'c is adequate
  9. Not being a lizard, and having to work, this "heatwave" can *bleep* *bleep* it's *bleep*ing *bleep* and *bleep* *bleep* the *bleep*
  10. What was all that nonsense a few weeks ago about June being wall to wall 30' degree sunny heatwave
  11. An absolute humdinger has just finished over Heathrow, all departures have been cancelled for the last hour or so. Probably the fiercest storm I can remember living around here
  12. yyaaassss!!! finally it's going to be too uncomfortable to sleep thought this day was never going to come this year
