In Bexley also and a huge tree has come down in the woods I back onto. Its made a right mess sadly. One to sort tomorrow. Gusts seem to be dieing down now

Looking at FlightRadar24 there must be some very busy ATCs in the London region. Plenty of go arounds at multiple airports

One of the most photogenic storms of recent times tracked across East London around 7 tonight. I was just south of the river so had a great view and stayed dry! Dropping a tonne of cloud to ground strikes and amazing cloud structure. Given it’s location I’m surprised more havnt been on here to report it. Unexpected! -

Bexley storm beginning to move on now but drive is under water from 10min or so of very heavy/torrential rain. Couldnt tell you the last time I saw rain here -

Yes sorry we have a lovely storm here in Bexley right now. Heavy rain, frequent lightning. Its bubbled up out of nowhere within 30mins so anyone concerned about development I would say keep the faith Swap heavy rain for torrential now! -

I commented last night how loud one particular gunshot was. Turns out a house not half a mile from me was struck. Roof up in flames and a family in chaos this morning no doubt. Hope everyone involved is okay -
