  1. It's settling on roofs, bins and patchy on the ground atm. GFS backing a snowy attack around next weekend, hopefully this will become more of a trend?
  2. Just checked my lamp post, we're back on! Now, to the window! Heavier this time around too!
  3. That Monday predicted max is rather high. Just looked at mine for Pontypridd and is supposedly to rise to 8C? A little off I would have thought.
  4. Well, this is disappointing. Nothing now but v.light yet steady fall... Anything else on the radar?
  5. Haha, Soon to be for me! I feel like such a weirdo, standing by my open window looking out, and then moving to the front of my house to check the lamp post >.<
  6. And so it begins again, sticking instantly this time, and heavier, although still lightish. Surely you must have something now, worldair? I'm literally just up the road at the top of Rhydyfelin!
  7. Shouldn't be long before it heads my way then! Keep the updates going!
  8. Nope, doesn't look it, already finished! But, that's my third day of snowfall this winter! (Albeit totaling around 0.2 mm)
  9. Does the 120hr time frame come into the Countryfile forecast tonight? If so, will be VERY interesting to see what they have going on.
  10. Cold out, just starting to snow, lightly. Will it pick up as we go on through the night? Oh yes, that UKMO tonight - What a chart, we would be wading through deep snow IF it comes off. Started to come down much quicker now, but still light. Looks like if it gets heavier it will stick!
  11. Andy: DId you get anything settle yesterday? I certainly didn't... Hopefully a little something comes tonight
  12. As it stands, it's waaaaayyyy out in FI and is most likely never going to be that intense when/if it hits so if a more watered down version did make it, I would expect it to fall as snow, especially with the upper temps that we have. For that chart, we are under -8 Just taken from the model thread, for the next day: http://forum.netweather.tv/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=153061
  13. Hmm yes, I'm very near you and so far all I've witness is a little drizzle about half an hour ago. Should be soon though, if reports are correct!
  14. Daniel Smith: What is 'Oh Dear' about that chart? Looks a cracker. We will see another uprade tonight I am sure
  15. Damn! I had that sort of problem/mistake last year, when I thought I could revise for the exam in have next after the one I just did. Didn't work out :L I'm a little luckier that you it seems as they're spread over 2 weeks for me. Although, that does take it up until the 28th to end :/ Good luck, anyway!
  16. haha, unlucky :/ I have 6 maths, though, in fairness, it is my fault for needing to re-sit!
  17. http://www.facebook....&type=2 As posted in the model thread; not really for our area but you can see the southern half of wales and it does show a rain to snow event throughout Saturday night. Plus, the potential for something rather more! All a shame really, as I have 6 exams this January, in Cardiff >.<
  18. Well people, don't put away your sledges just yet. ECM has come up with a stonker (compared to recent runs) Something that I would be prepared to wait for, even if it means a week or so of mild and rain!
  19. I'm walking to college in cardiff and there are little flakes coming down every now and again! Probably the last I'll see of it until the new year :L
  20. If one more person moans about snow potential, I think they should have a temporary ban. They are posts that keep clogging up the thread when it has been made perfectly clear that precipitation is perhaps the hardest thing to forecast, especially at this range, and the majority of the time it will crop up in the short term. The cold must come first! Jesus....
  21. Don't worry about the snow, it will come! I haven't seen the whole GFS run but I gather the ECM is the snowier of the two by a mile? If we only get an inch or two, it will be bloody freezing, ready for the high to retrogress and fill our boots As always though, worry about the cold first, precipitation is impossible to forecast at this time period.
