  1. More damage to sort for clients... this client was apparently on ITV news as her wooden pergoda was lifted thrown over the anex and smashed into next doors greenhouse... lots of broken tiles to sort They are really exposed for an inland location here so I'm not surprised there is a lot of damage
  2. There is report in storm thread of a potential tornado someone said loads of damage and tiles etc off
  3. Gusting upper 50s I think now... quite noisy Very different here, worst damage I've seen by a storm in my lifetime... drove down A30 today to Ascot and a large oak tree has gone into the side of a house. Plenty of downed trees and larger branches still a bit of hazard... Across the road is missing a hole side of ridge tiles trees down the village have now been cleared... Didnt loose power though!
  4. Estofex have a level 2 warning covering most of our region in relation to the squall line due to move in later today.. potential for a short but sharp burst of 70mph gusts even inland! Not what is needed after Friday!
  5. Not out the woods yet guys! Some strong winds later today and also tomorrow.. 60mph even inland in some places...
  6. North Surrey bad.. posted in my regional thread house next door to me is missing tiles we lost a garage tile and a whole ridge has unfortunately come crashing down on a range rover a few streets away.. my friend 3 doors down has a pine over and hung up in a tree next to it.. tree blocking road out out my village earlier.. my van was the other side so glad it came this way! VID-20220218-WA0004.mp4 Mum sent me this video of staines upon Thames High Street
  7. Staines upon Thames main road out over the bridge... Definitely the strongest winds I've ever experienced and now pretty calm compared to earlier 20220218_124108.mp4
  8. Thankfully, calmed down a lot here now... the damage I guess will be fully assessed over the coming days .. Red was definitely warranted when the peak came through VID-20220218-WA0004.mp4
  9. So much damage in my village, trees down, next door have also lost loads of tiles.. The ridge that I posted blown of came down onto a range rover so that is smashed to bits... I can walk from my garden and 4 gardens down from all the panels down..
  10. Incredible wind gusts here now stuff flying everywhere fence panels going down like match sticks...
  11. Was just about to say the same text book.. long shaped showers are a sign of very very strong winds mixing down
  12. The reason why it is not overly windy yet or perhaps in your area it is not feeling to strong is the core of the winds are still sitting of the coast of Cornwall just starting to move in. They are on the southerly flank of the low... Using the rain radar for easier guidance its a text book low shape with the core of the strongest winds in the red circle moving East.
  13. Hows it in Basingstoke? Not overly far from you and it is very very gusty here now... I think one gust that just went though was easily a top end 40s I fear the Thames Valley is going to act as one big wind tunnel!
  14. Yeh just had skip collected from drive after me and the brother fitted mum a new bathroom and the gusts are really getting going now and so far from the peak yet!
  15. To young for 87! I'm 28 so wasn't even in the universe yet.. Was speaking to my dad last night about 87 difference to this storm is trees are not in leaf which makes a huge difference to surface area. 87 also saw gusts of over 100mph even in London which I don't think we will see today
  16. really ramping up here now and so far away from the peak... Noise now coming down the chimney and you can hear the stronger gusts around the house
  17. Potential for sting jet... Met office are going for it further south and if you read the latest ESTOFEX forecast they also have the main risk of a sting jet over southern counties of England... Hence the Level 1 covering the South east corner. European Storm Forecast Experiment - ESTOFEX WWW.ESTOFEX.ORG
