      Many of my family on my father's side got killed over in Poland. R.I.P to all that have fallen.

      Indeed.  I recall a period when there were still several Great War veterans with us; now, Second World War veterans are becoming fewer and further between.:cray:  I always think of my two grandfathers on November 11th and during the ceremony at the Cenotaph; my maternal grandfather who was drafted into the RA and was heading for Singapore when it fell and who was instead sent to a comparatively quiet war on Gibraltar which probably saved his life, and my paternal grandfather who was in the Royal Norfolks and was sent to the horror and suffering of Burma (I refuse to refer to it by its other name as he and so many others fought for Burma and not Myanmar, and if anyone doesn't like it, they can put me on ignore) where he was injured by a shell and spent months recovering.
