    Temp continues to drop here now at -7.8c, Still got around 80% snow cover everything white with air frost and very low vis freezing fog

  7. Freezing Fog here and temp -7.2c Dp -8c Edit- Dropping further now -7.8c everything white with air frost and a hard ground frost. Very low vis freezing fog and still 80% snow cover. A nice Winters morning with the fire on..

    They have always been careful with there wording, And from what I read every update was low confidence/chance of very cold Easterlys. Given how fast a SSW can change the weather at the surface I don't see an issue, The timing of the downwhelling/where has been the issue and very difficult to predict.. But what with the chance of severe cold it would be silly not to mention it.. The further outlook has been very good, So unless you skip it/ignore it and only look at the 16/30 extended then I can understand why some may feel let down. They have done a great job this Winter and I'm sure it will continue for the rest of it.
  10. Can we please not have anymore blatant wind up posts regarding SSW, Obviously a 'limited' few need to read up a little more on the subject.. That' or said posts are just for reactions. Thank you.
  11. Certainly looks like the Models are now taking the SSW effects into serious consideration now! Was always due end of February, Some great Model watching to come I would think over the coming weeks..

    I would say it's because its pushed slightly North weirpig. Edit- Touching heavy snow now with all the hills around me white out.

    It's cold now and apart from a temporary avg blip which is only for the South and questionable.. It continues to be cold with the chance of very cold into Feb.

  25. GFS keeps us on the cold side, With Easterly attempts into the run and -11 uppers touching the S/E.. All for fun at this range but signals are there.
