  1. The front should curl back- E flow, making it very marginal but very precipy... Spy on your lamppost.
  2. Convection on Tuesday seems nailed. Convection on Wednesday seems 50-50 but erring towards it- after that, everything is up in the air. Tuesday does look quite snowy- and with MetO support, and the current GFS/UKMO/ECM fix, I'm confident that Wednesday would have some snow shrs involved- the latest BBC forecasts indicate so. Just had the lightest of lightest snow showers.
  3. Whilst this remains: I won't fret. You bloody hate the southerners!
  4. Wouldnt look at the NWP predictions when it comes to convection- and that FAX looks borderline- lots of convection towards the south that runs into a block in England. I would be looking at the BBC and MetO guidance as well before reacting to NWP shifts in convection.
  5. Tuesday and Wednesday still look very convective to me- and then Friday has a battleground where the low sinks under the block and the convective E'ly flow begins again? Nowt wrong with the current output- just tomorrow looks too wet now.
  6. SATSIGS ey- cc, it will probably snow as well as rain tonight.
  7. Looks like it will start as rain, latest BBC graphic shows heavy rain across the region tomorrow morning. Turns to snow in the afternoon. Oh, and light rain tonight.
  8. Latest NMM goes for all rain and some sleet across the North East tomorrow.
  9. 1c/-1c at NCL- just need some precip. Regarding tomorrow, definitely nowcasting, but dewpoints for Durham on the NAE keep at 0c or just under, whilst the GFS has them at 1c between 0300 and 1200. Looking at the ECM- that would be very, very marginal- and the UKMO is yet to update. If you do get all snow tomorrow, then that is a very strong base for the convective snow shrs on Tuesday and Wednesday.
  10. Graphics on the BBC site say all snow tomorrow for Durham, mostly sleet for Newcastle. This is going to be borderline. They also however show 7 hrs of snow tonight so I wouldn't hold too much on them.
  11. Closing this one now, here's the new one- http://forum.netweat...cussion-130113/
  12. Time for the first major 'snow' spell of the winter, with forecasts going for snow from the west, north, east and maybe even south in the upcoming week, and with that in mind, it's time for a new thread just for the cold for those that say 'tar', 'pet', 'howay' and such colloquialisms. Be nice, keep on topic and gawk at the lamppost. Previous thread here http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/75193-far-north-of-england-regional-discussion/
  13. Right closing this now for a new thread- finish off your posts.
  14. Liverpool have reacted superbly, despite the result. Sturridge looks fantastic. Dark outside now, it's coming.
  15. Hope we get some snow through the Haltwhistle Gap.
  16. 2c with a S/SW wind at NCL That'll do ta- for T&W- NAE still progged to arrive between 1800-2100. NMM say 1800-1900, EC says 1900, Met says 1800.
