Well here's me thinking it's a weather forum, but it turns out to be a class for English grammar! You can blame predictive texting and doing it at a fast pace for most of the spelling mistakes. Does it really matter as long as people understand the jest of the post! Nit picking at every frame of every model run is one thing, nit picking at spelling mistakes is just down right being snobby.
Have you got a chart to back that up please??

Absolutely. But it wasn’t the storm it was built up to be on here was it? That’s my point
I guess not in my location (which I’m happy about) even though it was quite scary at some points. But for the rest of the south I’m not to sure

My take on this is ….a storm yes but not really that intense (thank goodness) a few trees down here . Fence panels down ( like they always are - should invest in concrete posts !) . Is it worth all the hyperbole ??? No ….. reading on here in the build up you’d think a hurricane was coming . A flaw of the forums acting like the daily express . Basically whipping things up . Compared to 1987 (and 1990 January) a walk in the park . Incidentally just done one . 1987 I couldn’t get out of my village in Surrey , went for a cycle and got caught up in telephone cables . This doesn’t even come close !
I’m sure the families of people who died today might have a different take on todays storm!!
Maybe people did listen to the MO warnings and the “Hyperbole” on here and stayed home if they possibly could. Im sure this has averted more injuries or death.

Same here in SW Essex. All stopped now though!

Snowing here now. Everything is getting another covering

Skies starting to brighten up now in Thurrock. Hopefully that’s a good sign for shower activity later

Snow has stuck round here to the pavements, and small quiet side roads. The main road is clear though.
Snowed pretty much all day, but no accumulations though. -

Quite surprised with the lack of snowfall here in Thurrock. I reckon a max of 1cm on the grass, but we have had constant snowfall from around 9am, so not all to bad, it could of been just plain old rain. Was this due to the wind direction, or the storm further SE?

Sticking here a bit more in Thurrock now!!

Steady pea size flakes here in Thurrock. Nothing sticking though!
-
Heavy rain here now. Apart from the snow, ice could be a big hazard tomorrow. Lots of surface flooding.

Lamb chops for us!
it’s raining ever so lightly now here. Will the wet ground stop the snow from sticking? IF it does snow!!!!
sorry couldn’t resist
